Description

Fork or Pallet Truck Sweeper Attachment DESCRIP7701V This invention relates to a sweeper attachment to fit standard fork or pallet trucks.
The sweeper attachment comprises of a body into which the forks of a fork or pallet truck enter, two adjustable side brushes attached to the body by way of a ratchet system, a front brush and a detachable collecting bin. A hand brush is provided with which to finish the task of sweeping rubbish into the bin.
The accompanying drawings illustrate the following features: Figure 1. Front perspective of the sweeper attachment with bin and brushes opened for operation.
Figure 2. Side perspective with brushes folded forward to facilitate movement and storage.
Figure 3. Rear perspective with access points for the fork or pallet truck.
Figure 4. Plan view with the side brushes opened.
In the event of either side brush being driven against an obstacle, the ratchet will allow the brush to fold back against the truck without doing damage. The operator will then manoeuvre away from the obstacle, reset the side brush into position and continue with the task.

Claims (3)

  1. Fork or Pallet Truck Sweeper Attachment
    CLAIMS 1. A fork or pallet sweeper attachment comprising a body into which the forks of a fork or pallet truck enter two side brushes and a front brush.
  2. 2. A body with side brushes as claimed in Claim 1 wherein the side brushes are adjustable to allow different widths to be swept clear of rubbish and avoid damage to permanent structures by folding back against the body if undue force is exerted upon either one.
  3. 3. A body with a front brush and adjustable side brushes as claimed in Claim 1 or Claim 2 whereon a detachable bin sits to collect rubbish collected by both front and side brushes.
    A hand brush is also provided to assist in completing the task.
