Description
COMPLETE REAR VIEW
This invention relates to viewing the blind spots on vehicles.
As for those who drive motor vehicle will know, that having three rear view mirrors do not give the complete view of the rear, this still leaves the blind spots on either side of the vehicle.
Many have tried to eliminate this by adding on small curved mirrors or curving the end of the mirror itself. The size and the shape restricts the complete view.
By this invention the driver of the vehicle will be able to see the blind spots as and when he requires.
As in fig 1 you will see that the right hand side rear view mirror can be moved to see the blind spots, just by adding additional switches to the indicator lever, to activate the solenoid. Move the indicator lever fig 3 to indicate as normal, but by pressing it further down will activate the right side rear view mirror to see the blind spot fig 2, and vice versa for the left hand side, let go of the lever this will bring the mirror to its normal position fig 1. This way the side view mirrors will only operate after the indicators, if the driver wishes to view the blind spots before indicating he may do so by pressing the lever fig 3 inwards this will activate both mirrors.
The movement of the mirror is achieved by a solenoid as in fig 1 (normal position).
When the solenoid is activated will bring the mirror to a new position, suitable to view the blind spot fig 2 (blind spot view), when released the mirror will return to its preset position.
Figure 1 shows the mirror in its normal preset position.
Figure 2 shows the mirror in blind spot view.
Figure 3 shows in perspective, the indicator lever with the additional switches.
The movement of the mirror can also be achieved by swapping the solenoid for a motor.
