Abstract

The restraint shown comprises a length of chain, at one end having a spring clip for attachment to a dog's collar and at the other end having a strap usable as a handle and including a vehicle seat belt clip.

Description

The Petmatic Car Dog Restraint The "Petmatic" is a device for securing a dog in the rear of a car which is not suitable for fitting a dog guard. According to European law all dogs must be restrained for the occupants safety whilst driving and also to restrain the dog in case of accident. The dog is also restrained even whilst car doors are opened for any reason.
The "Petmatic" is fully adjustable. The chain can be shortened using the sprung clip doubling back on the chain.
The "Petmatic" is made from a welded chain with sprung clip which is secured to a double webbing strap doubling as a lead handle by means of a steel fastener. There is a steel fitting which secures to rear seat belt anchor. This slides down webbing strap handle when used as a traditional dog lead.
