Abstract

A sprinkler has two sprinkling plates 81, rotatably mounted in a casing formed of side plates 9 and ends 7. Water is supplied to them through connection pipe 4 via motor 10. This motor comprises a vane wheel driven by the water flow and connected by a reduction gearing to link 1072, which drives connection rod 11 and hence the first of the plates 8. Teeth 82 on each plate interengage and hence drive the second of the sprinkling plates. The nature of the connection ensures that the plates oscillate by rotating about their mountings.
