Description
HAIRDRESSING AID
This invention relates to a hairdressing aid.
Until now people who visit a hair salon have only been able to look at pictures of other people who have a style or colour that they may want themselves.
Surveys have shown that a lot of people have tried new styles or colours, thinking it would suit them, and have been disappointed with the end result.
Hair, especially to a woman, is very important, it is the basis of ones image. If your hair is not right, the whole of you is not right.
According to the present invention there is provided a multiplicity of transparencies which are individually attachable to a mirror,or on or in an attachment coming from the mirror or hand-held on glass or plastic, each transparency bearing a single view of a hair style and having a space in which a viewer may position their face to gain an impression of what the hair style would look like on the said viewer.
The individual transparencies may also include different perspective views of the same style, full front face, side face or any other view considered desirable.
The styles may be presented in a range of colours or swatches of different colours accompanying a particular style in a neutral colour.
The multipicities of transparencies may be contained in an album, albums or filing system, containing the various different styles and viewing perspectives.
This invention enables a hair style and or colour, if required, to be on a mirror or can be on or in an attachment coming from the mirror or hand-held on glass or plastic, which will mean a person can actually see to a degree what the new style and or colour, will look like.
By placing the hair style on to a mirror,or in or on an attachment coming from the mirror, or held by hand on glass or plastic, it can enable the reflection to be magnified, which therefore enables the face to fit into the style no matter what shape or size the face may be.
Front and side views can be shown and specifications for the density of the hair can be made. The mirror and the attachment coming from the mirror, can be fixed or portable. Alternatively, the glass or plastic on which the styles are placed on, can be seperate from the mirror and held by hand.
The material that is used for each transparency may be plastic material which can be continuously removed from the album or filing system. It can then be stuck on to the mirror or on or in an attachment coming from the mirror or hand held on glass or plastic and back again by means of static charge.
Alternatively, the transparencies may have an adhesive film applied thereto to attach the transparency to a mirror or glass or plstic, in an attachment coming from the mirror or hand held. As another alternative the transparencies may be attached to a mirror or to glass or plastic in an attachment coming from the mirror or held by hand by clip means.
Also brackets and slot-in mechanisms on an attachment coming from the mirror or held by hand or some other physical attaching means may be used. Various overlays can be done by screen printing.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawings in which -:
Fig. 1. shows an album or filing system with a choice of styles with front and side views and a range of colours. It illustrates the choice of hairstyles and colours if required, that can be removed from the album or filing system and placed on a mirror, or can be on or in an attachment coming from the mirror on glass or plastic.
Fig. 2. shows the chosen style and or colour if required, placed on a mirror or in or on an attachment coming from the mirror or hand held on glass or plastic. This can enable the reflection to be magnified so a persons face, no matter what shape or size, fits into the chosen style and or colour.
Reffering to the drawings the hairdressing aid comprises of an album 1. or filing system 2. which contain choices of styles in the form of transparencies such as a front view 3. and a side view 4. and also a range of colours 5.
The removeable styles 3. and 4. can then be placed on to a mirror 6. or can be on or in an attachment 8. coming from the mirror 6. or hand held 9. on glass or plastic 7. enabing a person 11. to position themselves so that thier reflection 10. fits into the style exemplified by the transparencies 3. or 4.
Therefore a person 11. can envisage whether or not the style and or colour will suit them before proceeding any further.
