Abstract
This invention describes a method for the loading and alignment of liquid crystal polymers in electro-optic and electro-active devices. It comprises the in-situ polymerisation between substrates of monomer material in the presence of a cationic initiator. This allows for the synthesis of liquid crystal polymers containing polyether backbones.
