Abstract

A device for protecting the fingers when carrying bags with handles, &c. comprises two tubes 1,2 to fit the fingers from their bases 1.3, 1.4 to their first knuckles 1.5, 1.6 and a section 3 (fig 3) attached to the tubes to protect the finger base knuckles 1.1, 1.2. the device may have an attachment cord (4, figs 1,3) up to 18cm long for attachment to a bag handle or the like.

Protective element for the fingers in carrying bags with handles or the like.
Specification / Description A protective element consisting of a body (1) (figure 1) constructed from a compliant material having 2 finger shaped tubes open at either end (1,2) (figure 1) designed to fit fingers (AckB) (Figure 2) from finger bases (1.3,1.4) to finger knuckles (1.5,1.6) (figure 2).
Section (3) (figure 1) is attached to the finger tubes (1,2) (figure 1) covering section (1) ofthe coverage area (figure 3) & is designed to protect the finger base knuckles (1.1 & 1.2) (figure 2) of the (Top side) of the protective element (1) (figure 1.1).
The (Bottom side) ofthe protective element (figure 1.1) consists of finger tubes (1,2) (figure 1) encasing fingers (ate) (figure 2) from finger bases (1.4,1.5) to finger knuckles (1.5,1.6) (figure 3, figure 3.1) (Bottom side).
An attachment cord (4) (figure 1) up to 18cm in length attached to finger tube (2) (figure 1) at one end and unattached at the other end. Finger tubes (1,2) (figure 1) extend from finger bases (1.3,1.4) of fingers (ate) (figure 2) to the first finger knuckles (1.5,1.6) (figure 2).
Finger tubes (1,2) (figure 1) ofthe protective element body (1) (figure 1) are joined to each other from section (2a) to (2b).

Claims (4)

Claims
1) The protective element body (1) (figure 1) when in use, the two fingers (A & B) (figure 2) are inserted into the finger tubes (1,2) (figure 1). Sections (la,lb) (figure 1.1) of the protective element cover the users finger bases (1.3,1.4) of(A & B) (figure 2) up to the first knuckles ofthe fingers (1.5,1.6) (figure 2).
2) The protective elements coverage (figure 2) ensures that whilst carrying bag handles or the like finger base knuckles (1.1,1.2) (figure 2) up to finger knuckles (1.5,1.6) (figure 2) are protected from the strain of the handle pressing and cutting directly on to the coverage area (figure 3).
3) The protective element user can comfortably carry bag handles or the like, without feeling any strain or discomfort on the primary points of contact covered by the protective element.
4) The attachment cord (4) (figure 1) enables the protective element to be attached to any bag handle or the like with its unattached end in order to make the protective element detachable to any bag handle or the like and therefore re-useable.
