Abstract

231,684. Hirschhorn, B. May 1, 1924. Infusers.-Packets of tea to be used directly for making infusions are made by shaping and filling a seamless piece of fabric by means of a die, thus forming a bag, the mouth of which is puckered and closed by a string to which is attached a handle. The fabric 10 is placed on a die 11 having a cylindrical recess 12 into which the fabric is forced by a tubular die 14, through which the tea &c. is introduced. The die 14 is then withdrawn and the mouth of the bag closed by a string to which is attached a handle, forming the packet shown in Fig. 1.
