Abstract

The Combined Carton / Dispenser Unit includes a carton made from cardboard, card, paper, plastic materials or metal. Fitted with an integral support / retaining pillar. The carton is prepunched to enable it to be broken on a predetermined line. The carton can then be folded on this line and secured. The centre section of the folded carton now gives support and enables the folded bags, sheets or carriers to be remove one at a time from the dispenser. The internal support / retaining pillar restrains and maintains the stack of bags, sheets or carriers in transit and also after the carton has been broken and is use as a dispenser.

Description

Combined Carton I Disenser Unit Description A carton / box or tube for the transporting and dispensing of bags (seefoot- note for dsfnSon of bag) The bags are stacked and retained internally using single or multi holes / glue spots.
The unit consists of a carton / box or tube manufactured from any suitable material.
This unit is fitted with integral supports I retaining pillars.
The external surface of the carton is prepunched to enable the carton / box or tube to be broken on a predetermined line.
There is provision for sticky pads to be Fixed to the rear of the unit to retain the folded carton.
Construction A stack of bags is placed in a carton, which has a flapped lid and is secured by self adhesive sides. At the top end is/are support pillars on which the bags are stacked.
When the carton is full the lid is sealed. (the cartons can be stacked or transported in this condition) Operation After the carton is loaded with bags and the lid sealed, the carton can be snapped along the line and folded in half through 180 degs. and sealed using the sticky pads.
The operation has two functions: a) It folds the bags in half and presents a surface for the extraction of a bag.
b) The carton itself forms a stiff support between the two halves of the folded bags, which assists in the easy removal of a single bag.
After the carton has been snapped and folded it can be used as it is or placed in a special dispenser. The bags are dispensed by hand by placing the fingers on top of the exposed bag and pulling back, this operation causes the union to break thus enabling a single bag to be dispensed (mechanical dispensers are also available) Unique Features 1) The use of integral retainers / pillars.
2) The carton creates it's own self supporting centre shelf to fold the bags around. Tbe now folded bags are presented for single dispensing.
3) The combining of carton and dispenser for the dispensing of single items in one disposable uni.
Note :- Bae shall mean any bay, sheet or carrier fitted with single or multi hole or elue sDot stack dispensing system. whether manufactured in Drastic. Wader or other common materials.
NOTE:- Container shall mean any boi carton or tube used for the dispensing of any bags see note 'A' above.

Claims (1)

1/ The Combined Carton I Dispenser Unit consists of a carton for containing, transporting and dispensing of bag , sheets or carriers and an integral support / retaining pillar.
2/ The carton as claimed in Claim 1 is prepunched to enable the carton to be broken on a predetermined line.
3/ The carton as claimed in Claim 2 when broken forms a stiff central support between the two halves of the folded bags, sheets or carriers to enable the removable of single bag, sheet or carrier.
4/ The integral support I retaining pillar as claimed in Claim 1 is used to restrain and maintain the stack of bags, sheets or carriers in transit and after the carton has been broken, thus enabling the removable of one item at a time from the stack.
5/ The carton as claimed in any preceding claim can be made from cardboard, card, paper, plastics material or metal, or from a combination of these materials.
6/ The Combined Carton / Dispenser Unit substantially as herein described and illustrated in the accompanying drawing. (sheet 3)
