Abstract

231,105. Murata, T. Nov. 10, 1924. Neckties.-An appliance, which is not worn, is used for facilitating the tying of neckties and is shown in Fig. 1. In operation, the necktie is placed flat over the' device with one end hanging downwardly, the other end being passed over the top edge 9 and back past the edge 8 and over the part of the necktie first placed in position. The appliance with the necktie is now turned into the position shown in Fig. 6 and the tying operation continued as shown, whereupon the appliance and necktie are placed in position in front of the collar, the part 7 of the necktie being passed round the wearer's neck. The end of the necktie is engaged with a gripping part 2 of the appliance, which is now withdrawn, as shown in Fig. 9. A mirror 5 may be provided.
