Abstract

An inhaler container carrying aid to prevent loss or misplacement of medication inhalers comprises a channel section body in which the container is retained by a flap secured by touch and close fasteners. The body may include a neck cord enabling the container and contained inhaler to be worn around the neck, a key ring enabling the sufferer to apply the container and contained inhaler to their keys, clothing etc, and finally, a magnet which will enable the container and contained inhaler to be applied to a suitable magnetic surface such as on a fridge or a metal cabinet.

Description

SPRAYMATE INHALER CONTAINER The inhaler container consists ofa container - carrying
aid tor the Ventolls-ana secotlue-lnnalers.
The inhaler container will be made solely for people who suffer from a respiratory disorder such as asthma or bronchitis and use one of the above mentioned inhalers either to prevent or relieve their particular disorder. At present, there are no container - carrying devices available for these sufferers and their inhalers therefore, it is more possible for the sufferer to lose or misplace their medication which could prove to be health threatening situation if for example, suffering from an asthma attack at the time of loss or misplacement of their particular inhaler.
The inhaler container has been devised not only to prevent the sufferer from losing or misplacing their inhalers but due to the various features incorporated onto it they will be able to carry their inhalers etc., more efficiently.
The incorporations added to the container to aid the sufferer include a key-ring, for use in conjunction with the sufferers keyst clothing etc, a neck-cord, which enables the container to be worn around the sufferers neck such as a pendant and finally, a magnet, which enables the sufferer to leave the container in a regular position with a suitable magnetic surface, for example, a fridge or cabinet.
The sufferers inhaler will easily be inserted or released from the container due to the hinged inhaler securing flap which when in the closed position is temporarily secured in position by the means of incorporated hook and loop Velcro
strips. The inhaler container will be made available to the sufferer in a number of assorted colours and house an adhesive vinyl transfer upon the inhaler securing flap, which will display a company logo or trademark of any design.
The following individually lettered inhaler - container part descriptions are to be used in relation with the lettered areas illustrating the individual parts of the complete container on the diagram pages 1A and 1B.
(A) NECK-CORD; The (optionally removable) neck-cord will be made from a nylon material of roughly 24 inches in length therefore, making it suitable to be worn around the neck either adult or child sufferers.
(B) KEY-RING; The (optionally removable) key-ring will be made of stainless steel and be roughly 1 inch in diameter.

(C) INHALER SECURING FLAP; This part of the inhaler container will be a door to secure the inhaler into the container when in the closed position or to release the inhaler when open. The door will be made of injected moulded plastic and connect to the left hand side of the main container section by the incorporation of a hinge. When the door is in the closed position, it reaches the riaht side of the container and it and the
contained inhaler are secured by VelcroLstrips. Finally the door will house a vinyl adhesive transfer which will display a company logo or trademark of any design.
(D) INHALER: The inhaler container is shown containing one of two inhalers it will be able to contain. The inhaler tn he contained within the container will consist of the

sized produced by The differencebbetween the two inhalers to be contained within the inhaler container is the drug contained within the internal cannister and the colours of the external plastic sections.
(E) oCONTAINER-SECTION; This part as titled will contain the various inhalers and being the major part of the overall container, it will house all of the various incorporations. The container section will be made from the same material as the front inhaler securing flap, this being injected moulded plastic.
(F) VELCRO STRIPS; The Velcro hook and loop strips are incorporated specificalLy to secure the contained inhaler and securing flap when in the closed position. The hook strip will be adhesively affixed to the securing flap whilst the loop strip will be adhesively affixed to the left side of the container section.
(G) MAGNET; The magnet as illustrated will be adhesively affixed to a slightly raised bed situated at the rear of the main container section.
(H) THUMB GRIP; The thumb grip will consist of a ridged area incorporated onto the angled base of the main con tainer section. The ridges are incorporated to prevent the sufferers thumb from slipping from the otherwise smooth angled base of the container whilst using their contained inhaler.
The following descriptions headed illustrations 1 to 4 are to be used in relation with the illustrations 1 to upon diagram pages 2A and 2B which give a detailed description of insertion or removal of the sufferers inhaler in conjunction with the inhaler container. All of the illustrations are shown viewing the left side in 2 dimension (actual size).
.......
(ILLUSTRATION 1): The inhaler container is shown with the inhaler securing flap in the open position ready to receive the externally illustrated inhaler. The arrows shown above and below the illustrated inhaler represent the direction the inhaler must take in order to enter the inhaler container.
(ILLUSTRATION 2): The illustration shows the inhaler partially inserted into the inhaler container.
(ILLUSTRATION 3): The inhaler is now shown fully inserted into the inhaler container and is now ready to be secured by the inhaler securing flap.
(ILLUSTRATION 4): The securing flap is now shown in the closed position as illustrated by the incorporation of the direction which confirms the inhaler is now fully secured within the inhaler container and therefore, ready for use.
Removal of the contained inhaler is simply to undertake all of the actions shown in illustrations 1 to 4 in reverse.
