Description

TITLE:BENDABLE FASTENER OF A PUSHCHAIR BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION The invention relates to a bendable fastener of a pushchair.
There are many types of conventional pushchairs.
However, most pushchairs are not foldable.
An object of the invention is to provide a bendable fastener for facilitating the folding of a pushchair.
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a pushchair; FIG. 2 is a perspective exploded view of a bendable fastener of a preferred embodiment in accordance with the invention; FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional, assembly view of FIG. 2; FIGS. 4 and 5 are cross-sectional, schematic views illustrating the operations of the bendable fastener; FIG. 6 is a schematic view illustrating the folding of the pushchair.
Referring to FIGS. 1 to 3, a bendable fastener 1 is disposed between a front wheel frame A and a push handle B. Two rear wheel frames C support two push handles B.
The bendable fastener 1 comprises a fastening seat 11 and a bendable block 12. The fastening seat 11 couples with the bendable block 12. The fastening seat 11 has a gap 113, two circular holes 1130 and two annular holes 1140 thereon. A hollow rod 110 protrudes upward from the fastening seat 11. Two flexible press protrusions 112 are confined by two corresponding U-shaped recesses 111 which are formed on the rod 110. The bendable block 12 has an oblong hole 120, an opening 121 below the oblong hole 120, two notches 122 in the opening 121, a U-shaped hole 123 surrounding the notches 122, a central hole 125, an elongated recess 127 communicating with the central hole 125, a slot hole 129 therein, and a groove 1291 thereon. Each U-shaped hole 123 has a flexible press block 124 therein. A hollow sleeve 128 has a flexible press plate 1281 protruding transversely, and a round hole 1280 thereon. A spring 126 is inserted in the elongated recess 127. A cover plate 1292 covers the groove 1291.
Referring to FIGS. 2 and 3 again, the first pin 1282 passes through the slot hole 129, the round hole 1280 and the hole B1 of the push bar B. The second pin 1131 passes through the circular hole 1130 and the hole BO of the push bar B. The third pin 1141 passes through the annular hole 1140 and the hole AO of the front wheel frame A.
The front wheel frame A is inserted in the hollow rod 110. The push bar B is inserted in the sleeve 128. The sleeve 128 is inserted in the central hole 125 and the elongated recess 127. Thus the push bar B is inserted in the central hole 125.
Referring to FIGS. 3 to 6, the flexible press blocks 124 can be pressed so that the flexible press protrusions 112 can be released from the corresponding notches 122.
The user can insert the hand in the oblong hole 120 in order to pull up the bendable block 12. Then the push handle B can be pushed down and rotated one hundred and eighty degrees (as shown in FIG. 5). Thus the inserting plates 1250 can be moved from the position above the gap 113 to the position below the gap 113 (as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5). Thus the front wheel frame A is almost parallel to the push bar B.
