Abstract

The Infant Safety Door Buffer which is easily fitted to a door holds the door open sufficiently to prevent infant fingers or feet from being trapped. When the buffer is placed on the top of the door, the door is held open at various angles as required. The buffer has a spring 4, padding 3, and a cover of leather or plastic.

Description

Infant Safety Door Buffer The Infant Safety Door Buffer is an invention which is a simple product which fits temporarily over the edge of a door to prevent the door from shutting completely. The Infant Safety Door Euffer can be placed either on the side or top of the door. The invention is designed to prevent infants fingers or feet being accidentally trapped, for example, when the parent is occupied in another room in the house.
The Infant Safety Door Buffer can also be used for other purposes, for example, simply keeping a door open for better ventilation.
Cther advantages of the invention are that it can be easily placed or removed when required, and as the construction materials are leather or plastic or similar raterial the invention does not cause damage when fitting or removing.
A specific embodiment of the invention vlill now be described way of example with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Figure 1 shows the Infant Safety Door Buffer 1 in place on the side of the door 2.
figure 2 is a sectional plan of the construction of the Infant g-wfety Door Buffer 1 placed on the door 2 The invontion is llelcl firmly in place by the inner wire spring- 4 which is covered with padding naterial 3 and an outer skin of leather or plastic.

Claims (3)

  1. The Infant Safety Door Duffer 1 The Infant Safety Door Buffer when fitted temporarily to the side of a door prevents the door from shutting thus preventing infant fingers or feet being accidentally trapped.
  2. 2 he Infant Safety 3007 Buffer as claimed in Claim 1 when fitted temporarily along the top edge of a door keeps the door onen at various angles as required.
  3. 3 The Infant Safety Door Duffer substantially as described herein with reference to figures
    1 and 2 of the accompanying drawing.
