Abstract

A telescopic towing bar retracts into a single square hollow steel section for easy storage and transport. When a broken down vehicle needs to be towed away, the telescopic towing bar can be used fully open to form a rigid towing device, with spring loaded bolts or pins 1 to hold the square hollow sections 2 in place, while the chain snubbing hooks with keepers 3 clip to the rear towing hook of the towing vehicle, and to the front towing hook of the towed vehicle.

Description

A telescopic towing bar which retracks into one square hollow steel section 2 for easy storage and transportation. When a broken down vehicle needs to be towed away the telescopic towing bar can be used fully open fig.l of the accompanying drawing to form a ridged towing device with spring loaded bolts or pins 1 to hold the square hollow steel section 2 in place, while the chain snubbing hooks with keepers 3 clips to rear towing hook of the towing vehicle, and the other end of the telescopic towing bar clips onto the front towing hook of the vehicle that has broken down.

Claims (2)

1) A telescopic towing bar in the form of square hollow steel sections, which retracks into one section for easy storage and transportation.
2) A telescopic towing bar as in claim one 1 and as described herein with reference to Fig. (1) & (2) of the accompanying drawing.
