Abstract

230,663. Lindsay, W. G. May 5, 1924. Cellulose-derivative compositions are rendered non-inflammable by incorporating in them calcium sulphate and a liquid phenolic phosphate such as tricresyl phosphate or a mixed cresylphenyl phosphate. Suitable proportions are 100 parts of hydroxylin, 50-100 parts of tricresvl phosphate, and 100-200 parts of calcium sulphate. The usual volatile solvents such as alohols, ether, acetone, amyl acetate, &c. are used. Specification 206,770 is referred to.
