Abstract

230,659. Dixson, L. L. April 23, 1924. Fuel containers.-A funnel for a motor vehicle tank or other container is normally contained in collapsed condition within a housing a mounted in the filling aperture of the tank, but is automatically expanded when the closure b is removed. The funnel is made of flexible material secured to spring ribs and to rings c, c<1>, and the closure has a depending member b<2> serving to retain the funnel in the position shown against the action of a spring f<2>. The housing may have a, strainer disc h and the funnel may be fitted with a level - indicator comprising a float i connected to a knob i<3>.
