Abstract

A mobile computer cabinet is mounted on castors and has a shelf 6 which locates in an upper or lower position on bearers 4 allowing use from a standard or easy chair. The shelf is moved using handles which pivot from a lifting position 8 to a locking position 8B. A hinged lid 1 and hinged panels and doors 2,7,10 close the cabinet. Panel 7 acts as a keyboard support.

Description

THIS INVENTION RELATES TO : COMPUTER STORAGE DESK & TROLLEY Quoted here as cabinet.
1..A computer with accessories in a wired up usable order, is stored and used in a mobile cabinet. C on castors).
2..The computer may be used at two levels of seating.
eg. position 1.. standard chair or position 2.. easy chair height.
3..The cabinet insures that the computer and accessories are sheltered from dust.
4..The cabinet gives an added factor of safety to the equipment 5.. The computer is reasonably secure and not visible 6..All connecting wires of the computer to accessories are inside cabinet.
7..Storage of Mains plug and Telephone cable, with paper,manuels.,discs on the bottom shelf....
Computers are usually upon a table, desk, bench or stand with trailing wires to accessories, all exposed to damage, by dust, tinkering and unpermitted usage, and theft. The computer and its accessories can only be moved by disconnecting units, adding to stress on connections and taking time to reconnect.

Refering to the drawings the design is explained. All numbers in brackets() relate to the drawings.
FIG 1.
The cabinet is Rectangular of table/desk height Cabinet on castors. (A) Cabinet has a top lid (1), which is hinged on the back edge, to the back panel (12).
Front panel (2), a portion of this is hinged to the top lid (1).
Cabinet has two fixed sides(3).inside are fitted shelf stops (4) at a depth of a computer from the top edge of the cabinet. Also clips to hold horizontal bar (5a).
Cabinet has a fixed back panel(12).
FIG. 1 a 2 Cabinet has a hortizontal shelf, which slides up and down. (6) The sliding shelf has a second portion of the front panel(7) hinged to the front edge of the shelf(6),making a shelf for a computer keyboard, and mouse pad.
Cabinet has one fixed horizontal bar (5) to support front panel (7) and hold cabinet sides(3) together, and one horizontal bar (5a) clipped, to the cabinet sides (3), this lifts up and out, when the cabinet is used at low level.

The cabinet has a fixed bottom shelf, (9) FIG 1.
The cabinet has 2 cupboard doors(10) to conceal the bottom shelf, the top of the doors level with computer shelf stop (4) The side panels each have an orfice(11) near the bottom, sufficient for a electrical plug (Possibly 13 amp. ) to pass through.

USEAGE.
The top lid of the cabinet is lifted up and back, and lowered to the back panel DESK /TABLE LEVEL.
Standard chair level, the computer is raised by the shelf handles(8), the handles, lock the computer shelf at this position, the second portion(7) of the front panel is brought forward. on this may be clipped the key board and also the mouse mat.

LOW SEAT LEVEL.
The second portion(7) of the front panel is brought forward. on this may be clipped the key board and also the nouse mat. The horizontal bar (5a) may be removed.

COMPUTER STORAGE DESK & TROLLEY Quoted here as cabinet. CLAIM.
1.. A cabinet on castors, in/on which a computer and its accessories wired up ready to use, may be used and stored.
2..As Claim 1.,The cabinet may be used at two levels, of seating. eg.
position 1.. standard chair or position 2.. easy chair height.
3..As Claim 1 & .,The cabinet may be ready made, or flat pack
4..As Claim 1,2 & .,The cabinet top lid, with pin board on the under side, may be secured in a upright position.
5..As Claim 1,2,3, & ., The computer shelf may be locked into the raised position by other means than shown on the drawings. Fig.2. 8 & 8b.
6..As Claim 1,2,3,4 & ,. The cupboard doors (10) may be hinged, sliding, or folding.
7..As Claim 1,2,3,4,5 & .,The Computer shelf may be raised or lowered by mechanical means.
