Description

DISPOSABLE TOOTHBRUSH (T23 SOGGY) The invention of the disposable toothbrush fills a need which has yet to be exploited in this area of hygiene.
Conventional toothbrushes have one thing in common, the need for separate tubes of toothpaste or similar cleaning materials which are separate items, one dependant on the other.
My disposable toothbrush, contains the toothpaste in the handle and the bristles through which the toothbrush passes through at a squeeze of the handle. All in one compact toothbrush with the handle slightly larger than usual, eliminates any need to buy tubes of toothpaste and consequently enables many users, such as blind or disabled people, to find this new innovation most helpful.
Furthermore, the toothbrush is versatile in that a refill can be inserted into the handle when required or the head of the toothbrush pulled apart or unscrewed and screwed or pressed onto an ordinary tube of toothpaste and could be used until refills were acquired.
Smaller disposable toothbrushes can be used for children.
The disposable toothbrush could be modified and used in a larger form, but with the similar design, to contain other liquids, oils, paints, shoe polish, grease or hair lacquer and various types of refills purchased where this type of disposable brush could fill a useful place in the market.
The disposable toothbrush could be fabricated from one of several plastic materials. The handle and neck section from acrylic plastic, a non-toxic transparent, high impact plastic and the bristles of the brush could be produced from strands of nylon plastic, lightweight and durable and either soft, medium or hard.
Textures, to suit the consumers preferences.
A nylon plastic cover for the bristle head could be purchased with the brush for use between cleanings.
Different coloured plastic could be used to make the toothbrush attractive and various animal and cartoon characters could be used, e.g. to coilect sets over a period.
Advertising space could be used on the larger T23 Soggy disposable brush, either for the manufacturer's other items or as a source of extra revenue from a sponsor, wishing to exploit this innovation.

Claims (1)

  1. CLAIMS (1) Special combination design dispenser that will keep both items together for easy and convenient use fills a gap in the market. As at present disposable toothbrushes of a cheap price and valuable nature are unavailable.
    (2) The versatile performance of the toothbrush is able to contain a refill, if required, as an alternative to a disposable. As well as having a facility to pull away or unscrew the head-section and to screw or re-slot this onto the top of a toothpaste tube whilst refills are being purchased, undoubtedly makes this disposable brush totally different in its design and function and would provide a new range in toothbrush sales, being cheap to manufacture and would provide a wide range of people easier use.
    (3) No toothpaste tubes would be purchased.
    (4) The on/off press button (optional) facility would control the flow of toothpaste onto the bristles, thus eliminating problems with toothpaste tubes where paste is often difficult to squeeze out, or alternatively, arrives too fast, often dropping off the brush altogether.
    (5) Blind, disabled people and also various sections of the community may benefit from this innovation as could the armed forces and holiday industry.
    (6) An important use of the disable toothbrush design would be the manufacture of a somewhat larger model, to incorporate the use of other liquids, such as oils, shoe polish, grease, paint or hair lacquer.
Whilst not altering the design, only the brush size and handle. The liquids would be expelled from the handle reservoir and various refills could be purchased.
This would fill a void in this section of the market.
