Abstract

A closure device comprises means for mounting it on a container neck, a valved otlet passage for dispensing wine from the container, and an air passage connecting the atmosphere with an inflatable bag positioned within the container. As wine is dispensed air flows into the bag rather than into contaminating contact with the wine. The device includes support arms for standing the bottle in an inverted position and a lever for moving a spring biassed seal in the outlet passage between a closed and an open position.

Quality Wine that Lasts 229.9806 The idea is based on the fact that as the
contents of the wine spirit or ale is drawn from the bottle, cask etc., it is replaced by contaminated air from the surrounding atmosphere including any other small and dirty gasses that will alter the flavour and quality of the original products.
A solution to this problem is to insert a flexible container ie., rubber or any other such container so as to prevent any air contacting the product.
CLAIMS:
1. A container closure comprising; a neck portion for mounting on a container, the neck portion having a valved outlet passage for communicating the interior of the container with the exterior thereof and an air inlet passage connected at an interior end of the closure to an inflatable bag member, the inflatable bag member being arranged in use for inflation within the container.
2. A closure according to claim 1, wherein the bag member is formed of a flexible material.
3. A closure according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the neck 15 portion is sealably housed in the container.
4. A closure according to any one of the preceding claims wherein the closure has support arms at an exterior end thereof allowing a container to which the closure is connected 20 to be stood on its head.
5. A closure substantially as hereinbefore described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
