Abstract

A diaper contains a pouch or pocket added during or after the manufacture and suitable for containing accessories or associated products perhaps in suitable quantities so that no further supplies are required, or for convenience. The pocket or pouch may be internal or external and may contain an airtight seal which may be re-sealable and the seal may be flush, possibly to prevent tampering, either deliberate or non-intentional. The pocket or pouch may be detachable possibly to allow later use and storage of any unused contents; the pocket or pouch may also be essentially hidden from external view. The pocket or pouch may consist of a pocket contained in a detachable pouch; or a pouch contained in a detachable pocket.

Description

DIAPER [Technical field] This invention relates to a diaper.
[Background] Diapers are principally used in the fields of child care and the care of incontinent persons. They are the primary means of containment of body fluids and excrement in the Western world for persons who are unable to control themselves through age or infirmity. They are not standalone products, but tend to be used in conjunction with associated products. Controlling the supply of the diaper and any associated products requires a certain amount of stock planning. If supply of one runs out ahead of the other the results can be embarrasing.
[Essential Technical Features] According to the present invention a compartment suitable for housing accessories or associated products or for convenience, is added into the manufacture of the diaper, either internally or externally as a pocket or a pouch.
[Example] A specific example of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: Figure I shows the pocket or pouch positioned at the front of the diaper. It could also be placed sirnilarly at the rear, or around the body of the diaper.

Claims (10)

1 An internal or external pocket or pouch added into the manufacture of a diaper to contain accessories, associated products or for convenience.
2 An internal or external pocket or pouch as claimed in Claim 1 added after the manufacture of a diaper to contain accessories.
3 A pocket or pouch as claimed in Claim 1 or Claim 2 containing accessories (such as wipes or anti-rash cream or powder, or a sack to dipose of the diaper) in suitable quantities so that no additional stock of such necessities would normally be required.
4 A pocket or pouch as claimed in Claim 1 or Claim 2 or Claim 3 with an airtight seal to prevent drying out of the contents.
5 A pocket or pouch as claimed in any preceding claim with a re sealable seal. This could allow the contents to be used partially, and later re-used.
6 A pocket or pouch as claimed in any preceding claim, with a flush seal . This could prevent tampering, either deliberate or non-intentional.
7 A pocket or pouch as claimed in any preceding claim that is detachable. This could allow any unused contents to be detached and used or stored separately later.
8 A pocket or pouch which is essentially hidden from external view. This may improve the overall appearance of the product.
9 A pocket as claimed in any preceding claim that is contained in detachable pouch.
10 A pouch as claimed in any preceding claim that is contained in detachable pocket.
