Abstract

A twin unit personal safety alarm will afford more confidence in safety to the parents of young children. When the parent presses a button on one unit, the other unit which is worn by the child bleeps loudly. Entry of a personal pin number is necessary to cancel it. A single unit safety alarm will also afford more confidence in safety to the parents of the older child and, to the child itself. It could also serve as a deterent to would - be child snatchers. A single unit personal safety alarm will afford more confidence in safety to adults, and could also serve as a deterent to would - be muggers.

Description

Description PERSONAL SAFETY ALARM This idea relates to a personal safety alarm.
Safety alarms are not new, buildings, houses, and cars, already have them.
A personal:alarm can also afford safety to people, especially young children.
A system for the younger child, to consist of two separate units. One worn by the child, the other carried by the parent/guardian who, at the touch of a button, can activate that worn by the child.
This will be electronically activated and will only be cancelled by using a personal pin number.
For example, if the child had wandered off, the carrier of the act ivating unit would be able to locate the missing child by pressing the activator button which in turn would set off a loud intermittent bleep from the unit worn by the child.
Anyone in the near of the child while the bleeper is sounding off would also be alerted to the situation.
And if widely publisized, could also serve as a deterent to would - be child snatchers.
A single unit for the older child and adults.
To be self activated, which will also only be cancelled by the same principal of a personal pin number.
