Abstract

A double pocket wallet is made such that it can be attached to the windscreen of a vehicle to show the identity of the disabled driver and his/her time card disc confirming the privileged parking period allowed. The wallet may be made of folded cardboard and attached by suction pads. <IMAGE>

MOBILITY BADGE AND TIME CARD WALLET SSSSSSSSSSStSSSSfStSSSttSSSSSSSSSSSS THIS WALLET WHEN FITTED TO THE WINDSCREEN ( BY TWO SUCKERS ONE AT EACH END ) WILL ALLOW THE DRIVER TO INSERT OR REMOVE EITHER, THE BADGE OR TIME CARD WITH EASE, AND WILL PREVENT THE BADGE OR CARD SLIDING ALONG THE DASHBOARD WHEN TRAVELLING.
NO MORE STICKING THE BADGE TO THE WINDSCREEN WITH SELLOTAPE, OR LEANING OVER TO THE PASSENGER SIDE TO RETREAVE THE SLIDING TIME CARD.
I BECAME A DISABLED PERSON IN 1992, AND AS SUCH I BECAME ENTITLED TO MOBILITY CONCESSIONS, ONE ITEM OF THESE CONCESSIONS BEING A TIME CARD, THIS CARD ALLOWS ME TO PARK MY CAR IN CERTAIN RESTRICTED AREAS, THE SAID CARD MUST BE DISPLAYED IN THE FRONT WINDOW OF THE CAR, WITH A IDENTIFICATION CARD, ( ALTHOUGH CALLED A BADGE IT IS IN FACT A CARD ). DISABLED DRIVERS HAVING THESE TWO CARDS NORMAL? LEAVE THEM LOOSE BETWEEN THE WINDSCREEN AND THE DASHBOARD OF THE CAR, OR USE SELLOTAPE TO FASTEN THE BADGE TO THE WINDSCREEN. AS ONE NEEDS ACCESS TO THE TIME CARD THIS ITEM MUST BE LEFT LOOSE, THE DISADVANTAGE OF THIS IS WHEN THE CAR IS MOBILE THE CARD OR CARDS SLIDE FROM ONE SIDE OF THE DASHBOARD TO THE OTHER, THEN VERY OFTEN WHEN THE DRIVER PARKS HIS/HER CAR HE/SHE WILL THEN HAVE TO LEAN OVER TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE DASH TO RETREAVE SAID CARDS, MY IDEA OF A WALLET FIXED TO THE WINDSCREEN WILL ALLOW THE DRIVER TO PLACE OR REMOVE EITHER CARD WITH THE MINIMUM OF EFFORT AND PREVENT THE CARDS FROM MOVING.

Claims (1)

  1. MOBILITY BADGE AND TIME CARD HOLDER ( WALLET ) FOR THE PURPOSES OF DISPLAYING IN VEHICLES A DRIVERS DISABILITY PARKING PRIVILEGE AND PARKING TIME ENTITLEMENT. THE HOLDER IS DESIGNED SUCH THAT ITS CONTENTS WOULD CONSIST OF, 1, IDENTIFICATION PASS BOOK ( KNOWN AS BADGE ) SHOWING NAME OF AUTHORISED PERSON AND SERIAL NUMBER, 2, TIME CARD DISC - TO SHOW THE ARRIVAL TIME AND VALIDITY OF PERIOD ALLOWED, THE HOLDER WOULD THEN BE ATTACHED TO THE WINDSCREEN OR OTHER GLASS, THUS ENABLING THE CARD AND BADGE TO REMAIN IN POSITION WHILE THE CAR IS MOBILE. THE HOLDER (WALLET) WOULD BE HELD IN POSITION BY MEANS OF SUCTION PADS WHICH WOULD BE INCORPORATED AS PART OF THE WALLET THEREBY ALLOWING THE WHOLE OF THE WALLET TO BE ATTACHED TO THE GLASS. THE DRIVER WOULD BE AT LIBERTY TO REMOVE OR PLACE THE TIME CARD AND/OR BADGE BY SLIDING THEM IN FROM THE TOP WITHOUT REMOVING THE HOLDER.
