Abstract

A hand dice shaker in the form of a closed hollow container made of transparent toughened plastic material and completely enclosing a die 4. Description

HAND DICE SHAKER This invention relates to a hand dice shaker.

Some board games necessitate the use of a die. When used with a conventional shaker the die is at risk either of displacing the counters if thrown onto the board or ending up on the floor, which slows down the game and the die is sometimes lost.

We propose not only to eliminate these inconveniences but to retain the traditional shaking of the die by hand which can add further excitement to the game in general.

According to the present invention there is provided a hand dice shaker comprising a sealed hollow container made from transparent toughened plastic material, with a cushioned interior base, completely enclosing a die or dice.

The accompanying single drawing is an illustration of the preferred form of the present invention.

Referring to the drawing, the hand dice shaker comprises a hollow body 1 and a flat base 2. The body 1 will be secured to the base 2 by a snapping together or twisting method or other means of attachment after insertion of the die 4.

Preferably the body 7 will be oval shaped.

The base 2 of the container on the interior surface will be lined with a soft material 3.

Preferably the die 4 to be made of a rubberised or similar soft material.

The soft material 3 inside the base 2 and the rubberised die 4 is intended to reduce the noise factor of the die 4 to an acceptable level to any nonplayer in the vicinity when the container is shaken vigorously during play.

The hand dice shaker to be made of a transparent toughened plastic material and able to accommodate more than one die.

After shaking vigorously the shaker to be placed upright on a flat surface and as is usual the uppermost number on the die will count for scoring.

Claims

7. A hand dice shaker comprising a sealed hollow container made from transparent toughened plastic material, with a cushioned interior base, completely enclosing a die or dice.
2. A dice shaker substantially as described herein with reference to the accompanying drawing.

2. A hand dice shaker as claimed in Claim 7 wherein the body of the shaker is oval shaped and secured to a flat base.

3. A hand dice shaker as claimed in Claim 7 and Claim 2 wherein the body is sealed to the base by a snapping together or twisting method of attachment.

4. A hand dice shaker as claimed in Claim 2 and Claim 3 wherein the interior surface of the base of the shaker is lined with a soft material.

5. A hand dice shaker as claimed in any preceding claim wherein is contained a die or dice of rubberised or similar soft material.

6. A hand dice shaker substantially as described herein with reference to the accompanying drawing.

Amendments to the claims have been filed as follows 1. A dice shaker comprising a die or dice made from a rubber material held within a closed hollow container comprising a base and an envelope, the base being lined internally with a soft cushion material and the envelope being made from a transparent toughened plastic material.
