Abstract

A bag consists of a flattened tube of towelling material open at each end. In this condition it can be used as a blanket or to enclose a person whilst they are changing. The tube may be folded in half so that corresponding pairs of touch and close fasteners 1, 2, 3, 4 interengage to form closed edges of a bag of which the mouth may then be closed by drawstrings 5. <IMAGE>

Description

THE " CHANGING " BAG This invention relates to a 'bag' that can be used as a cubical for changing.
Changing facilities are very few and far between especially at large events like N larathons, Fun Runs. and crowded beaches. Cubicles can be hired but at a great cost and are not transportable or reusable anwhere. anytime.
According to this present invention. this can be used many times. washed in a conventional washing machine. canied as a bag over the shoulder containing all your change of clothes. It folds down into a full length double sided bath towel. Easy access at the top and bottom of this bath tube enables the person to quickly become discreetly covered .3 change of clothes is made under the 'cover' - the (R,T,M) cover is then dropped to the ground. both sides are connected together by veloro, fastenings the drawstring at each end are gathered together to form the bag - pockets are then available to hold the changed or wet clothing.
A special embodiment of the invention will non be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which Figi Shows in plan the basic sheet of material.
Fig2 Illustrates the construction of the form of the towelling tube.
( tM) Fig3 Shows the complete 'changing bag' with draw strings top and bottom and velcro#seals either side at 1 - 1.
FigA Shows the 'changing bag. in use as a 'tent' for discrete changing.
Fig5 Shows action to convert from a changing tube to a bag Fig6 Shows conversion of the 'changing bag' to a shoulder bag.
Referring to the drawings. the bag comprises of a piece of towelling (AB) material 1300 mm in length and 1500 mm in width. One side is sewn together to form a 'tube' both sides of the tube (RTM) have velcro#sewn onto them (1.2.3.4). The top and bottom of the article has been turned to form a hem which enables the drawstring (5) to be threaded through.
In order to use the 'bag' as a changing facility' both ends are open to form a tube. The open ended tube can be entered either by stepping into or pulling over head and shoulders. The drawstring (5) is then pulled to form a gather at the neckline securing the top end of the tube.
Changing now takes place inside the tube. the towel can be used for dazing the body, prior to putting on dn, clothing. inside the tube.
In order to convert the 'changing bag to a carrying bag - the towel is then placed flat. the (RTM) bottom is then joined to the top and secured by pressing the velcroCtnps ( 1 to 3 & 2 to 4) at either side. the bag now formed offers two compartments for the wet clothes change ot clothing. The drawstrings (5) can now be pulled together to form the handles of the bag thus closing the bag.
