Abstract

An extendable bracket (2) is attached to the underside of a ladder. Ballast is placed on the bracket and the bracket is adjusted for length as necessary. The bracket and ballast assist in securing the top of the ladder against its support and the bottom of the ladder on the ground. <IMAGE>
