Abstract

A toothpaste/brush applicator has a main body comprising of a tube 6, loaded either with toothpaste or gel, which is transferred under pressure eg. compression or mechanical means such as a plunger (Fig. 2) to the bristles of a toothbrush connected to the main body 6 via a connecting tube 2. The brush head 1, connecting tube 2 and applicator body 6 are moulded together to form one complete unit. A separate cap (Fig. 4) may cover the exposed toothbrush area. <IMAGE>

Description

Combination Toothbrush This invention relates to a toothbrush self loading with toothpaste/gel Toothpaste and toothbrushes have been in common use for many a decades as seperate items combined these items have many benefits According to the present invention there is provided a combination toothbrush/paste applicator under pressure from either compression or mechanical means, toothpaste/gel is forced up to the tooth brush bristles by means of a connecting tube from the main storage tube A discription of the invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings in which Figure 1/ shows the toothpaste applicator compression operated Figure 2/ shows the toothpaste applicator mechanically operated Figure 3/ shows the toothbrush/paste applicator looking down onto the bristles Figure 4/ shows the cap (top) Figure 5/ shows the unit in normal state Reffering to the drawings the toothbrush/paste applicator comprises of a tube 6 (Figure 1) containg toothpas,te/gel.
Connected is a smaller tube 2 with a toothbrush head 1 connected as its end: all moulded together to form one complete unit. In order for the toothpaste/gel to be transfered to the toothbrush head 1, pressure by means of compressed gas 8 (Fig 1) or mechanical means 7 and 9 (Fig 2) must be applied.
The paste/gel is thus forced to the toothbrush head 1 via a duct 3 in the connecting tube 2 there is a valve 4 at the neck of connecting tube. A channel/grove 11 (Fig 3) specialy designed in the toothbrush head 1, ensuring even distribution to the bristles 10 (Figure 3) a cap 12 (Figure 4) would fit on to main body 6 (Figure 1) to cover brush area for general hygiene

Claims (1)

  1. Claims 1/ A combination toothbrush/paste applicator.
    Under pressure either from compression or mechanical means toothpaste/gel is ejected on to a tooth brush via means of a connecting tube The brush, connecting tube, and body of applicator are all moulded together to form one complete unit 2/ A combination toothbrush/paste applicator as claimed in Claim 1 wherein the base forms a means of keeping the unit vertical 3/ A combination toothbrush/paste applicator as claimed in claim 1 or claim 2 wherein a push on type cap is provided to cover exposed toothbrush head 4/ A combination toothbrush/paste applicator as claimed as claimed in any preceding claim wherein a channel grove is formed between the bristles of toothbrush 5/ A combination toothbrush/paste applicator described herein with references to Figures 1-5 of accompanying drawings
