Abstract

A protective canopy comprises a strong waterproof sheet arranged to give protection to work and workman. The canopy will be held in position by a rigid pole passing through a hem at the top of the sheet and pegs at the bottom corners, giving a tent-like structure to work under. The pole and hem rest in, or are clamped in position in, a gutter of a house. <IMAGE>

Description

THE ENCASED POLE OR PIPE WOULD THEN BE PLACED IN THE ROOF GUTTER, FIG 4 IF A LIGHT-WEIGHT POLE OR PIPE IS USED IT MAY BE NECESSARY TO SECURE THE POLE OR PIPE IN THE ROOF GUTTER BY THE USE OF A CLAMP, I.E. G-CLAMP AT EACH END OF THE POLE OR PIPE.
TWO METAL OR WOODEN PEGS WOULD BE USED TO SECURE THE BOTTOM CORNERS OF THE CANOPY TO THE GROUND A DESIRED DISTANCE FROM THE WORK SURFACE, FIG 3 AND FIG 4A THE EYELETS ALONG THE SIDES OF THE PLASTIC SHEET WOULD BE USED FOR EXTRA STABILITY BY THREADING CORD THROUGH AND TYING TO A SECURE FIXTURE I.E. GARDEN GATE.
