Description
TOILET PARER CRUSHER
The present invention relates to a toilet paper crusher for crushing used toilet paper before it is flushed away.
In toilet rooms toilet paper i commonly provided for cleaning the buttocks.
However, used toilet paper cannot be direct thrown into the toilet or the drain pipe of the toilet will be blocked easily. Therefore. a basket must be prepared near the toilet for collecting and disposing used toilet paper.
When used toilet paper is collected in a basket. it will produce an unpleasant smeil and pollute the air
The present invention has been accomplished to provide a toilet paper crusher which eliminates the aforesaid problems. The present invention uses a container to contain waste water and used toilet paper. a propeller-like blade driven by a motor to stir up water in the container and to cut used toilet paper into pieces, and a drain pipe controlled b a shutoff valve to draw waste water away from the container to the toilet for letting it be further carried away from the toilet to the sewer.
An embodiment of the present invention
will now be described by way of example with
reference to the accompanying drawings in which:
Fig. 1 is an elevational view of a toilet paper crusher according to the present invention:
rig. 2 is a sectional view taken along line 2-2 of Figure 1:
Fig. 3 is a sectional view taken along line 3-3 of Figure 1;
Fig. 4 is a top view of the blade used in the toilet paper crusher shown in Figure 1:
Fig. 5 is similar to Figure 3 but snowing the top cover opened with water and used toilet paper put into the inner casin; Fig. 6 is similar to Figure 5 but showing the blade turned to stir up water::
Fig. @ is similar to Figure 6 but showing the shutoff valve opened and waste water drawn away from the inner casing;
Fig. 8 is an installed view of the present invention showing the toilet paper crusher supported on a rack at one side by the toilet:
Fig. 9 is another Installed view of the present invention showing the toilet paper crusher directly mounted on the ground at at one side by the toilet.
Referring to the various drawings attached herewith. a detailed description of the structural features of TOILET PAPER CRUSHER " of the present invention is as follows: Referring to Figures 1. 2. and 3. a toilet paper crusher in accordance with the present invention comprises a top-open outer casing 1. a top-open inner casing 2 disposed inside the outer casing 1 for holding used toilet paper. a top cover Il hinged to the outer casing 1 and covered over the outer and inner casings 1 and 2 at the top. and a lifting mechanism 13 driven to lift the top over 11 from a close position to an open position.
The outer casing X has an inside annular flange 15 perpendicularly extended from the inside wall thereof near the rop. The inner casing 2 has an outward top flange 21 radially perpendicularly proJected from the periphery of the top thereof and supported on the inside annular flange 14. The cover 11 has a bottom flange 12. which its into the top opening of the inner casing 2 when the cover 11 is disposed in the aforesaid close position. The bottom tianae 112 is mounted with a water seal ring @11 around the periphery.When the bottom flange 112 is nserted nto the top opening of the inner casing 2. the gap between the inside wall of the inner casing 2 and the peripher of the bottom flange 112 of the top cover 11 is sealed by the water seal ring 111.
The aforesaid lifting mechanism 13 comprises a vertical link 131 pivoted to the top cover 11. a horizontal link 132 supported on a bearing point 133 inside the outer casing ! and having one end connected to the vertical link 131 by at te bottom by a pivot 134 and an opposite end extended out of the outer casing 1 ana coupied witn a foot pedal 12. When the top cover 11 covered on the outer and inner casings 1 and 2. the pivot 134 is disposed at an elevation @ over than that of the bearing point 133. Therefore.
stepping on the foot pedal 12 causes the lifting mechanism 13 to open the top cover 11.
A motor mount 15 is fastaned to the outer casing 1 on the inside at tne pottom to support a motor 31 in the space defined between the outer casing l and the inner casing 2. The output shaft of the motor 31 is inserted through a hole (not shown) on the inner casing 2. The gap between the output shaft of the motor 31 and the wall of the inner casing 2 is sealed by a water seal rin 311. A blade 3 which has cutting edges 33 is is mounted on the output shaft of the motor 3l and disposed inside the inner casing 2 at the bottom.An On/Off switch 32 is mounted on the outer casing 1 on the outsize and electrically connected to the motor 31 or controlling the operation of the motor 31. The inner casing 2 futher comprises a drain port 41 at the bottom.
here is provided a drain pipe assembly 1 comprised 0 a connecting pipe 2 connected to the dra n port 41 and peripherally sealed by a water seal ring 411 for guiding waste water out of the inner casing 2.
a flexible water pipe 44 connected to the toilet 5
(see Figures S and 9 . and a shutoff valve 43 linked between the connecting pipe 42 and the flexible water pipe 44.
Referring to Figure 5. when the foot pedal 12 is pressed don the top cover 11 is lifted from the inner casing 2. and used toilet paper can then be thrown into the inner casing 2.
Referring to Figure 6. when used toilet paper is thrown into the inner casin 2, and a certain amount of water is filled into the inner causing 2. then the On/Off switch 3 is switched on to turn on the motor 31 causing it to turn the blade 3. When the blade 3 is turned by the motor 31. water in the inner casing 2 is stirred up. and therefore used toilet paper is cut into pieces.
Referring to Figure ~. the shutoff valve 43 is opened after used toilet paper was cut into pieces. permitting waste water to be drawn away from the inner casing 2 and sent to the toilet 5.
Referring to Figures 8 and 9. the toilet paper crusher may be directl mounted on the ground by the toilet 5 or supported on a rack 6 at one side by the toilet 5.
