Abstract

A puzzle game comprises a base 1 and mounted within the base a plurality of freely movable concentric annular rings 2, 3.... The assembly also comprises a cover 8 which is attached to the base by screws 9. The cover has viewholes through which indicia on the surfaces of the rings can be viewed and curved slots allowing access to holes in the rings which allow the rings to be moved. <IMAGE>

Description

PLAYING GAME This invention relates to a playing game Playing games as such usually have separate items in addition to the major component within which to play a game whereas this invention has all the elements required to play the playing game contained within the assembly of the invention The present invention comprises of a cover, a base within which are six rings, and four screws which secures the cover to the base to complete the assembly of the playing game A specific embodiment of the invention will now be descibed by way of exanples with reference to the accompanying drawings in which Figure 1 shows the playing surface of the playing game in plan Figure 2 shows the playing game assembled in side elevation Figure 3 shows the components of the playing game in an exploded side elevation Referring to the drawings, the playing game comprises of a flat base 1 which has an annular recess in its upper surface within which are annular rings 2 : 3 : 4 : 5 : 6 and 7, a flat cover 8 and four screws 9 used to secure the base 1 to the cover 8 When the playing game is assembled, the rings 2 : 3 : 4 : 5 : 6 and 7 are retained in the recess of the base 1 and free to move independently of each other within the assembly The playing game has a base 1, rings 2 : 3 : 4 : 5 : 6 and 7, a cover 8 and screws 9 The playing game is assembled by placing the annular rings into the recess in the base, and the rings are retained and free to move independently when the cover is secured to the base by using the screws All the rings have holes and a different sequence of letters or figures spaced around both sides of their annular surfaces and and any of the rings can be moved by using the holes visible through any of the curved slots in the cover When any hole in one ring is moved one or two complete spacings in either direction within any slot in the cover, a different identical letter or figure will be visible simultaneously through each of the four corresponding viewing holes in the cover above the ring moved On moving or not moving a hole in each of the rings in turn an identical permutation of six letters or figures will be visible simultaneously through the four sets of viewing holes By removing the cover and reversing one or all of the rings within the recess in the base, a differing sequence of letters or figures will be visble through the corresponding viewing holes in the Cover so giving a different permutation of letters or figures when the reversed rings are or are not moved again A variable character ? is marked above each of the four sets of six viewing holes on the cover and when used in conjunction with the letters or figures that appear in the six viewing holes, will give an unlimited permutations of letters or figures to play any game with the playing game
