Abstract

The assembly comprises a member 4 connected to left and right lateral supports 2, 3 via interlock plates (41, Fig. 2) at the ends of the member 4, which plates are inserted into slots (33) in the supports 2, 3. Protruding tabs (24) at the lower edge of the slots are interlocked to rectangular holes (42) in the plates to simplify the assembly procedure and increase the conjoined rigidity of the structure. The member 4 is provided with a longitudinal lip (43) for hanging the tapes thereon. The supports 2, 3 are mounted in a cabinet via hooks 21, 22. In another embodiment (Fig. 3) two spaced members 4 support a steel tape rack (6) via their lips (43). The supports 2, 3 have a hole (25, 35) at each end of their ends to facilitate assembly of a sliding drawer when the member(s) 4 is/are not installed. <IMAGE>

Description

Improved Structure Magnetic Tape Hanging Rack SCOPE OF THE INVENTION invention herein consists of a kind of improved structure magnetic tape hanging rack, specifically ref erring to a kind that offers a magnetic tape hanging structure of innovative design, while also providing an effective structure that supports the storage of magnetic tape by both direct suspension and placement into a steel rack.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION As commonly observed, conventional rack structures for the storage of magnetic tape consist of a steel rack contained inside a cabinet. However, to enable more convenience and practicality in the placement and storage of magnetic tapes, the inventor of the invention herein has dedicated many years of professional manufacturing experience in the conducting of intensive research and development to complete the invention herein and integrate the greatest practical value. Following a period of extensive testing and modifications, the inventor herein has succeeded in perfecting a kind of innovative and improved structure magnetic tape hanging rack.
OBJECTIVES OF THE INVENTION Therefore, the primary objective of the invention herein is to offer a kind of improved structure magnetic tape hanging rack capable of effective storing magnetic tape within by both direct suspension and placement into a steel rack.
To enable the evaluation personnel to have a more comprehensive understanding of the special structural characteristics and innovative aspects of the invention herein, the following preferred embodiments of the invention herein and detailed description of the drawings have been included to facilitate an explanation of the advantages and features. However, the description of the preferred embodiments below shall not construe any limitation whatsoever with regard to the claims of the invention herein.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS Figure 1 is an isometric drawing of the structural assembly of the invention herein.
Figure 2 is an isometric drawing of the individual structural components of the invention herein.
Figure 3 is an isometric drawing of the structural assembly in the preferred embodiment of the invention herein.
Figure 4 is cross-sectional drawing of the invention herein, showing a portion of the magnetic tape hanger of the invention herein.
COMPONENT NAMES AND NUMBERS OF THE DRAWINGS (1) Cabinet side panel (11) Sguare hole (2) Left lateral rack support (21) Interlock hook (22) Interlock hook (24) Protruding tab (25) Rectangular hole (3) Right lateral rack support (31) Interlock hook (32) Interlock hook (33) Interlock slot (34) Protruding tab (35) Rectangular hole (4) Magnetic tape hanging rack (41) Interlock plate (42) Rectangular hole (43) Suspension contact edge (5) Magnetic tape (reel) (6) Steel rack DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF TEE INVENTION As indicated in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, the invention herein is comprised of a magnetic tape hanging rack (4), left lateral rack support (2), right lateral rack support (3) and other major assembly components. Directly press formed on the rear end of the left lateral rack support (2) are two horizontally aligned interlock hooks (21) as well as two vertically aligned interlock hooks (22) on the front end that are inserted solidly through the square hole (11) in the cabinet side panel (1); furthermore, there are three interlock slots machined onto the left lateral rack support (2) (not shown in the attached drawings) and there are two protruding tabs (24) at the lower edge of each of the aforesaid interlock slots. The structural features of the right lateral rack support (3) of the invention herein are identical to those of the left lateral rack support (2) and, as indicated in the drawings, can be solidly inserted as either the left or right rack support of the invention herein; the magnetic tape hanging rack (4) is a rectangular frame member with interlock plates (41) on two sides and there are two rectangular holes (42) on each of the interlock plates (41) that are inserted and interlocked into the slots (23) and (33) centered on the left lateral rack support (2) and the right lateral rack support (3) and, furthermore, the protruding tabs (24) on the lower edge of the (34) interlock slots (23) and (33) are utilized to suspend the magnetic tape hanging rack (4) in the rectangular holes (42) of the interlock plates (41) and prevent the magnetic tape hanging rack (4) from inclining forward.
and falling off, a feature that increases the structural soundness and practical value of the invention herein. On the front edge of the aforesaid magnetic tape hanging rack (4) is a suspension contact edge (43) shaped in a 45-degree angle and the magnetic tape (5) is hung onto the suspension contact edge (43).
On the front and rear of the aforementioned left lateral rack support (3) and the right lateral rack support (3) are the relatively large rectangular holes (25) and (35) that are enabled to insert and fasten sliding drawers when the magnetic tape hanging rack (4) is not installed.
As indicated in FIG. 3, which illustrates another preferred embodiment of the invention herein, an aforementioned magnetic tape hanging rack (4) is inserted through the front and rear interlock slots (23) and (33) in the left and right lateral rack supports (2) and (3), respectively; furthermore, a steel rack is installed in the space in between the both suspension contacted edges (43) of the two magnetic tape hanging racks (4), resulting in another magnetic tape hanging structure.
As indicated in FIG. 4, which depicts a cross-sectional drawing of the magnetic tape hanging rack (4) and the magnetic tape (5) in the preferred embodiment of the invention herein, an inner framework is 8 welded inside the aforesaid magnetic tape hanging rack (4) to increase the support strength of the magnetic tape hanging rack (4) and, the magnetic tape (5) hangs, as indicated by situation 1a1 on the suspension contact edge (43) of the magnetic tape hanging rack (4) due to the weight of the magnetic tape (5); wherein, the magnetic tape (5) may swing forward and rearward with the disadvantage of falling off, but the magnetic tape (5) can still be retrieved by lifting it upward.
In summation of the foregoing detailed description, the magnetic tape hanging rack of the invention herein has two interlock plates on each side and, furthermore, on each interlock plate are two rectangular holes that enable the interlock plate to be inserted into the interlock slots in the center of the left and the right lateral rack supports, while the protruding tabs at the lower end of the interlock slots are interlocked into the rectangular holes in the aforementioned interlock plates to increase rigidity and convenience.
Not only Spractical," progressiveS and Zinnovative," the invention herein completely meets new patent right requirements and the document herein is hereby submitted in application as stipulated by law for formal evaluation and the granting of the patent rights so merited.
