Abstract

A hanging basket liner made from thermoformed foam. The liner will hold plants and growing medium in place, being waterproof, elastic and resilient thus preventing leakage of growing medium or water. The liner is easily adjustable without cutting to fit baskets of various sizes, thus avoiding leakage. <IMAGE>

Description

THERMOFOR!ED HANGING BASKET LINER This invention relates to a thermoformed hanging basket liner.
Wire hanging baskets are a well known decorative feature of many homes and gardens,and are avaikble in a range of sizes, though the shape is standard. They do however have the drawback of requiring a lining material to hold the plants and growing medium in place,the liner should also be able to retain moisture.
According to the present invention there is provided a thermoformed 8plastic' foam liner which has the same shape as a wire hanging basket, being adjustable to fit the various sizes of hanging basket available A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which figure 1 shows thermoformed liner before being placed in wire hanging basket.

figure 3 shows a wire hanging basket with thermoformed liner in situ.
A hanging basket liner,which is moulded to the same shape as a hanging basket, being of a thermoformed plastic'foam, which is elastic and resilient in nature, able to retain water and the required growing medium in place, yet is easily adjustable, without cutting, to fit the wide,range of hanging baskets available.
