Description

PREVENTING COSMETICS FROM DERIORATION [Technical Field] This invention relates to a method for preventing cosmetics such as face cleansing lotion, face lotion, milky lotion, face-pack from deterioration to maintain quality of cosmetics over a long time.
[Disclosure of the Invention] A method for preventing cosmetics from deterioration of the present invention is characterized by accelerating reduction of the contents of said cosmetics and inhibiting their deterioration due to oxidation by placing said cosmetics in magnetic fields in the state of being contained in containers and exerting said magnetic fields to said cosmetics.
Said magnetic fields are preferably stationary magnetic fields generated from stationary permanent magnets, or changing magnetic fields generated from changing permanent magnets. And in another preferred mode. alternating magnetic fields generated by running alternating currents through solenoids may be used.
The invention further provides a method and apparatus for preventing deterioration of cosmetics during storage as set out in claims 5,10 and 11. Preferred and/or optional features of the invention are set out in claims 5 to 9.
The invention also provides a magnetised cosmetic- container and a magnetised holder for cosmetic containers.
The invention will be further described by way of example only with reference to the following drawings, in which: [Brief Description of the Drawings] Fig. 1 is a perspective view showing an appearance of a cosmetic keeping box used for carrying out the present invention.

Fig. 8 is a front view showing another method for carrying out the present invention.
[Best Mode for carrying out the Invention Fig. 1 shows an appearance of a cosmetic keeping box used for carrying out the present invention. This cosmetic keeping box comprises a synthetic resin box type case 1 having a handle 5. The top face of the box type case 1 is provided with three holes 2A. 2B, and 2C. into which cylindrical cases 3A. 3B, and 3C are inserted respectively. As shown in Fig. 2, housing spaces 7A. 7B. and 7C which contain cosmetics 6A, 6B, and 6C with their containers are formed in the cylindrical cases 3A, 3B, and 3C.
The first cylindrical case 3A contains the cosmetic 6A filled with face cleansing lotion in a glass container 4A, the second cylindrical case 3B contains the cosmetic 6B filled with face lotion in a glass container 4B, and the third cylindrical case 3C contains the cosmetic 6C filled with face-pack in a synthetic resin tube 4C respectively. The containers 4A and 4B and the tube 4C are covered by caps 8A, 8B and 8C respectively. The cosmetics GA. 6B and 6C are held in the cylindrical cases 3A. 3B and 3C respectively, with the respective caps 8A, 8B and 8C facing upward.
As shown in Fig. 2, each of the cylindrical cases 3A. 3B and 3C is a cylinder having an upper opening and a bottom, each peripheral wall 9 of the cylindrical cases 3A, 3B and 3C is formed of a magnetic material. while each bottom 10 is formed of a non-magnetic material. As shown in Fig. 3, each peripheral wall 9 of the cylindrical cases 3A. 3B and 3C is so magnetized that an N-pole and an S-pole alternately appear on the inner surface. In housing spaces 7A, 7B and 7C, stationary magnetic fields are generated and by exerting D. C. magnetic fields (shown with dotted lined in the figure) toward the housing spaces 7A. 7B and 7C respectively, reduction of the contents of the respective cosmetics 6A, 6B and 6C are accelerated and inhibited their deterioration due to oxidation.
In addition, the method of magnetizing the peripheral wall 9 of each of the cylindrical cases 3A, 3B and 3C is, needless to say, not limited to the example shown. Changes in design may be possible as it is required so that, for example, the N-pole appears on the inner surface of the peripheral wall 9, while the S-pole is formed to appear on the inner surface of the bottom 10 with a permanent magnet. Furthermore, it-is not necessarily required that the entire peripheral wall 9 of each of the cylindrical cases 3A, 3B and 3C is formed of the permanent magnet, for generating stationary magnetic fields in the respective housing space 7A, 7B or 7C, but a plurality of small pieces of permanent magnets may be suitably arranged.
Fig. 4 shows another method for carrying out of the present invention. In Fig. 4, a reference numeral 20 denotes a cosmetic, and 21 indicates a packing box containing the cosmetic 20. On the inner surface of the packing box 21, a plurality of rubber magnets 22 are attached with adhesive. In a housing space 23 Inside said packing box 21, stationary magnetic fields from the rubber magnets 22 are generated, and by exerting the stationary magnetic fields to the cosmetic 20, reduction of the contents Is accelerated and their deterioration due to oxidation is inhibited.
Fig. 5 shows a method for generating changing magnetic fields wherein the cylindrical cases 11A. 11B and 11C made of permanent magnets, are pivotally rotated on respective rotation axes 12A, 12B and 12C. A motor 13 is connected to the rotation axis 12B for the middle cylindrical case 11B, on which two pulleys 14 and 15 are fixed. Between one pulley 14 and a pulley 16 fixed to the rotation axis 12A for the cylindrical case 11A, a belt 17 is wound, while between the other pulley 15 and a pulley 18 provided on the rotation axis 12C for the cylindrical case 11C a belt 19 is wound. When driving said motor 13, the three cylindrical cases lA, il : 3 and 11C rotate simultaneously and changing magnetic fields are generated in the housing spaces 7A', 7B'and 7C' respectively. By inserting the cosmetics 6A. 6B and 6C into the respective changing magnetic fields and supporting them by proper means, the changing magnetic fields exert to the cosmetics 6A. 6B and 6C respectively. Thereby reduction of the contents of the respective cosmetics is accelerated and their deterioration due to oxidation is inhibited.
In addition, it is also possible to use a plurality of solenoids instead of permanent magnets and run alternating current through each solenoid, for exerting alternating magnetic fields in the respective housing spaces of cosmetics.
Moreover, it is not necessary for exerting magnetic fields to cosmetics to contain the cosmetics within the cosmetic keeping box of Fig. 1 or the packing box of Fig. 4. As shown in Fig. G, cosmetic 20 may be only covered with a cylinder 30 made of permanent magnet, and as shown in Fig. 7 and 8. cosmetic 20 may be only put on a base plate 31 or 32. In addition, on the base plate 32, plural number of hemispherical protrusions 33 for concentrating magnetic fields thereon, are provided. and the cosmetic 20 is supported on the protrusions 33.
The operation of the invention is considered to be as follows.
In the embodiment of Fig. 1, when the cosmetic 6A, 6B and GC are inserted into the respective cylindrical cases 3A. 3B and 3C of the cosmetic keeping box 1, with the respective caps 8A. 8B and 8C facing upward, the respective cosmetics 6A. GB and BC are contained and kept in the respective cylindrical cases 3A. 3B and 3C. In the housing spaces 7A, 7B and 7C in the respective cylindrical cases 3A. 3B and 3C. stationary magnetic fields are generated from the permanent magnets, and when the stationary magnetic fields act on materials composing the cosmetics 6A, 6B and 6C, electrons around the nucleuses which constitute the materials are activated. As the result, rotational speed of electrons are increased, and the electron spins out and runs out from its orbit. Thereby a state of surplus electrons, that is, a state of reduction is formed to lower the reduced potential, and oxidation of the contents of the cosmetics 6A. 6B and 6C is inhibited, keeping the qualities of them intact.
In the embodiment shown in Fig. 4, when the cosmetic 20 is kept in the packing box 21, the magnetic fields generated from the rubber magnets 22 act in the same way as above assuring to obtain the same effect.
In addition, only by covering the cosmetic 20 with the cylinder 30 in the embodiment shown in Fig. 6, and only by putting the cosmetics 20 on the base plate 31 in Fig. 7 or 32 in Fig. 8, magnetic fields can exert to the cosmetic 20, thereby the same effect as above mentioned is obtained.
The present invention has been described above by way of example only and modification can be made within the invention.
