Abstract

Weights are attached to individual fingers by means of a ring with a split in its circumference. The weights can be worn by musicians in the course of their practice so as to strengthen their fingers. <IMAGE>

Description

The 'REFLEX' Faster Finger Weights This invention relates to weighted rings on fingers or digits as a device to increase strength, stamina and speed.
The ideology behind the Reflex faster finger weights is as an aid to musicians (beginners and advanced) who use their fingers to play their chosen musical instruments. For example, all horn, string, woodwind and keyboard players will find this invention useful.
The proven theory is that when playing an instrument with the above mentioned, (because the rings are weighted; REF.FIG 1) and are placed at the top of the nail with the weight facing towards the knuckle (REF.FIG 2) the players hands are being made to work harder, thus strengthening them and also making them more agile.
After practicing with the finger weights and then without, the speed and reflexes of the players' fingers are greatly enhanced.
To use an example: To run 2 miles every day for a week, wearing heavy boots would build an athletes' stamina and speed. If a week later he was to take the same distance and course, but this time wearing only light training shoes, his time to complete the circuit would be dramatically reduced.
The weighted rings are made of a malleable metal, being lead, for flexibility purposes. The one sized ring will fit all finger sizes, and the density of the metal will provide adequate weight for the size taken up. The rings are encapsulated so that they are comfortable to wear and that the skin is kept away from the lead metal.

CLAIMS: THE REFLEX FASTER FINGER WEIGHTS
1. The Reflex Faster Finger Weights are designed to be worn on the fingers whilst playing any musical instrument that requires finger usage. The finger weights are used to build up the speed, strength and reflexes of the musicians' digits.
2. As claimed in claim No.1, the finger weights build up the speed, strength and reflexes by way of the bulbous weight that is present at the top of the ring and by the materials out of which they are made.
3. The reflex faster finger weights are constructed of a malleable metal with a segment at the bottom of the ring cut out, s that the reflex faster finger weight can be moulded to any size or shape of finger by way of squeezing the sides and bottom of the ring.
