Abstract

A rotational picture display has a body comprising one or more frames 1 with plurality of sides 2, rotating by means of a frame control 3 so that each frame side is displayed in turn and for a set time duration. Support and connecting bars provide links between frames and frame control. The frame control also facilitates varying the speed of rotation, and duration of frame side display. In addition to the arrangement shown in the Figure, the plurality of frames may be in side-by-side arrangement or stacked vertically. <IMAGE>

Description

PICTURE DISPLAY This invention relates to a picture display.
Picture displays are well known objects which come in various shapes. Picture displays however are stationary hence do not allow for multi-sided picture arrangement and dilay, for the stationary observer and viewer.
According to the present invention there is provided a rotational picture display comprising one or more frames with plurality of sides, frame control, and connecting and support bars.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which : Figure 1 shows in perspective the picture displays, with the frames, frame control, and connecting and support bars.
Figure 2 illustrates the rotating action of the picture display.
Referring to the drawing, the picture display comprises a body made of one or more frames 1 with plurality of sides 2, frame control 3 activates and causes the frames 1 to rotate about an axis 4, thus displaying each of its sides 2 in turn for a set time duration, before being rotated again The frames 1 are releasably attached to the frame control 3 by means of connecting and support bars 5 as shown in Fig 1 Means (not shown) are provided for selecting the ON and OFF modes of the frame control 3 which in turn activates or arrests the rotation of the frames 1. This rotation, and the side display intervals are continous, as long as the frame control 3 is in its ON mode as shown in Fig 2.
The frame control 3 may be programmable to facilitate choice or variation of the speed of rotation, as well as the duration of picture display by each side 2.

Claims (5)

1 A rotational picture display comprising one or more frames with plurality of sides wherein frame control means is provided for rotating the frames about an axis, causing each side of the frame to be displayed in turn.
2 A picture display as claimed in Claim 1 wherein means are provided for activating and arresting the rotation of the frames.
3 A picture display as claimed in Claim 1 or Claim 2 wherein means are provided for varying the speed of rotation, and time duration of picture display by each side.
4 A picture display as claimed in Claim 2, or Claim 3 wherein support and connecting bars are provided to link the frames and the frame control.
5 A picture display substantially as described herein with reference to Figure 1 and 2 of the accompanying drawing.
