Abstract
A fire and security alarm radio telephone system has a fire detector 1, security detector 2, alarm control circuitry 3, digital communicator 4, speech synthesisor 5, radio telephone 6, and polycarbonate casing 7. In order to telephone the exchange the fire and security detectors operate the alarm control unit 3 activating the digital communicator 4, speech synthesisor 5 and radio telephone 6. Using the redial number facility the alarm equipment is then allowed to communicate over the radio telephone by connecting amplifiers 8 and 9 to other communicating equipment or telephone. A tone signal is also incorporated and radio telephone re-dial facility accessing gate 10. An audible access is provided 13. <IMAGE>
Description
FIRE AND SECURITY ALAS This invention relates to a fire and security alarm radio telephone system.
Fire and security systems are well known comprising detection devices, system control circuitry and warning alarm audible sirens along with telephone dilling and communication equipment. A telephone line monitor is used to detect the telephone line checking the telephone line status, digital communicators send digital data signals down the telephone line to central monitoring stations or to the fire brigade. A voice speech message may be recorded on a micro processor or digital information may be given over the telephone line with an equipment reccgnition hand shake to other remote line telephone communication equipment.
Telephone lines however can be cut limiting the alarm to sirens only.
According to the present invention there is provided a fire and security alarm radio telephone system, comprising:- a security detection device, fire detection device, alarm control circuitry, audible warning alarm, digital communicator, speech synthesisor, tone oscilator, audible output amplifier and speaker, operational amplifiers, radio telephone and polycarbonate casing and electronic operating circuitry.
Th3 alarm detection devices may be a smoke detector for fire detection, and a passive infrared detector for security protection. using an angle modulated, land mobile, private mobile,or cell net type hand portable radio telephone the alarm system in conjunction with communication equipment may be adapted to telephone, telephone wires free by means of a radio telephone, directly a6cessing-the telephone exchange to dial and correspond to other telephone equipment or people when operated by the alarm system, transmitting over the air waves.
The communication equipment being operated by the alarm equipment control unit, when activated by the fire and security detector. Being adapted to operate the radio telephone via operatinal amplifiers to the radio telephones microphone and speaker input along with a radio telephone number re-dial facility access and input, conections. Signals may be sent via the amplifier and speaker stage allowing the radio telephones microphone to pick up the signals indirectly. The telephone number to be dialled is stored in the memory of the radio telephone in a memory chip.
The number to be dialled is stored in the radio telephone using the telephone re-dial facility or digital communicator this number may be programed by the customer or pre- recorded. The digital communicator may access the radio telephons number dial facility direct from the circuit board or via an operating gate along with the speach synthesiscr and tone oscilator. Access to the radio telephone re-dial facility may be to the dialers memory input or dial out put stage to the telephone transmitter
The seach synthesisor and digital communicator and tone oscilator provide communic-icn means to other telephones when operated by the a -rm control unit.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example wit referance to the accompanying drawing in which :
Figure 1 showes in schematic form the fire and security alarm radio telephone system.
Referring to the drawing the alarm comprisise of a :- fire detector 1 may be a smoke detector and security detector 2, may be a passive infrared detector, alarm control unit j, warning alarm 12, digital communicator L, amplified speaker output stage 13, seach synthesisor 5, tone oscilator 11, operational input amplifier9, operatinal output amplifier 8, radio telephone number re- dial facility operating gate 10, radio telephone 6, and policarbonate casing 7, The digital communicator and seach synthesisor hold pre-set recorded infomation on digitally recorded micro chits that when operated by the alarm control unit 5, operates the radio telephone re-dial facility using the operating gate 1C directly connected to the radio telephones dial telephone memory number facility accessing the telephone exchange and other telephone equipment.Suppling the recorded message held in the digital communicator 4 and speach synthesisor 5, or tone sound oscilator 1,, when activated by the control unit and detection devices 1 and 2.the digital communicator may directly operate the radio telephones re-dial number facility directly by conecting to the printed circuit board. The digital communicator is also conected to the radio telephone using an output operatinal amplifier 8 from the telephone and input amplifier 9, along with tone oscilator 11,and speach synthesisor 5, Also making connections to the audible output the telephones microphone input may be left connected so the the synthesisor 5, and tone oscilator may be picked up by the microphone from the amplifier and speaker output stage 13. When the alarm is operated the digital communicator, speach synthesisor and tone oscilator transmitts the required message over the radio telephone after the telephone number has been dialled by the radio telephone. The telephones microphone and speaker inputs and out puts are connected to the two operational amplifiers 9 and 8. the telephone aerial may be housed internaly inside the casing or externaly exsposed if out of reach. The radio telephones power supply may be taken from the alarm systems control unit equipment.
Operatinal amplifiers 8 and 9 should include associated passive componants.
