Abstract

Air-gun pellet dispenser and magazine that protects and holds pellets and presents them in such an orientated manner that they can be single handedly removed readily for correct insertion into the air-gun whilst leaving the other hand free to, hold the gun. The pellets 9 are retained within the channels in the dispenser by a spring clip 3 and are fed by gravity. <IMAGE>

Description

Air-pun pelletfbullet ! dispenser and magazine.
This invention relates to an air-gun pellet dispenser and magazine.
Air-guns fire pellets or solid bullets for competition hunting and plinking usage. To load the air-gun the pellet has to be loaded with the correct orientation. Generally the pellets are loaded individually by hand into the barrel and fired. The pellets are usually offered loosely in boxes and tins.
There is a general requirement for a pellet dispenser which provides weather protection and offers the air-gun pellets in an orientated manner which is easily usable with one hand only.
This invention relates to the containment and presentation of air-gun pellets to facilitate the ease of loading ,protection and minimising any losses of pellets when in use.
Certain devices in this field do exist but this invention seeks to overcome their problems . Their design shortfalls include the following: a) Dispensers have to be manipulated by both hands.
b) Magazines require the pellet to be pulled out where the pellet's orientation is lost.
These problems make air-gun pellet usage both cumbersome and difficult to use.
The invention's essential technical features are as follows: a) Holds enough pellets for competition or hunting.
b) All the pellets fall into the retrieval point individually correctly orientated.
c) Gravity feed system.
d) Ergonomically designed i.e the gun does not need to be dismounted or put down.
e) It can be clipped to a top pocket , belt, or velcro fastening to the shoulder f) Protects the pellets from the weather.
g) Convenient position on shoulder for ease of access in all shooting positions.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which:- Figure 1 shows the front view of the multi-channelled dispenser manufactured in a clear material for observing the loaded pellets. The material does not need to be clear.
Figure 2 shows the side view showing the pellet retaining spring clip , the pellet guiding tracks and the velcro faced pocket clip.
Figure 3 shows the top view with the pivoting lid swung clear to allow pellets to be top loaded and orientated.
Figure 4 is a pictorial representation of how the air pellet is removed by the hand.
Referring to the drawings of figures 1 , 2 , 3 and 4 the invention comprises of a clear material body (1) with one or more guiding tracks (2) for the air pellets (bullets) (9). The pellets (9) are loaded at the top where access is gained by swinging the lid (4) clear. The swinging lid (4) is pivoted on a fixing screw (7). At the bottom of the assembly the pellets (9) are retained by a spring clip (3)(either moulded in the body (I) or attached).
The spring clip can be retained by fasteners (6). The body (1) has a belt or pocket clip (5) attached . The clip or body can be faced with velcro (8) for an alternative fastening method.
There may be many ways to manufacture this invention other than that described above which gives the same essential technical features of the invention.

Claims (13)

Claims
1. The invention is an Airgun pellet dispenser.
2. The invention is an Airgun pellet dispenser which uses gravity to feed the pellets.
