Abstract

A disposable container filled with a drinking fluid is provided with a separately formed or integral mouthpiece (Figs. 1 and 2 respectively), with the mouthpiece provided with a series of drinking holes, through which the container contents can be consumed. A detachable seal (Fig. 2) is provided for initially sealing the drinking fluid in the container. <IMAGE>

Description

CONTAINERS FOR DRINKS The invention relates to containers for drinks and more especially to such containers fitted with a mouthpiece suitable for use by babies and toddlers. The container is intended to hold ready to drink liquids Ceg. juice, milk, herbal water etc) and to be disposable after use.

At present there are available 'training cups' including detachable lids into which separately purchased drinks can be poured. Such cups generally comprise a cup with two handles and a lid with a spout mouthpiece formed with holes through which the drink is drawn using a sucking motion. These cups are not disposable items and they cannot be obtained in a ready to use form, ie. filled with a drinking fluid.

One object of this invention is to provide a container for drinks which allow parents, etc. to buy drinks already present in containers with either a built-in or separable lid which includes a suitable mouthpiece for babies and toddlers for immediate consumption by babies and toddlers. Once finished with, the container can simply be thrown away.

According to the present invention there is provided a disposable container filled with a drinking fluid and including an insertable or integral mouthpiece formed with a series of drinking holes through which the container's contents can be consumed.

The invention will now be described by way of example only, with reference to the accompanying diagrammatic drawings in which: Figure 1 is a side view of a disposable Jar/bottle with a seal and a separable lid in accordance with the invention Figure 2 is a side view of a disposable one piece container including a moulded mouthpiece/spout in accordance with the invention; and Figure 3 is a side view of a disposable box with an insertable mouthpiece/spout in accordance with the invention Figure t illustrates a jar/bottle 1 containing a 'ready to drink' liquid. The jar/bottle includes a seal 2 which is broken as the lid 3 of the jaribottle is unscrewed. The lid is then replaced with a separable mouth piece 4 formed with holes 5. The liquid drink can then be drunk by a baby or toddler.Once finished, the container can be disposed of.

The container illustrated in figure 2 comprises a single container 6 formed with an integral shaped spout containing drink holes 7. A foil strip 8 is provided to seal the holes v prior to use. Other sealing means could, of course, be employed.

The container shown in figure 3 comprises a box 9 made of a dispc)satile material such as card cir plastics which includes an inegral mouthpiece 10 including drinking holes 11. A. sealing strip similar to the foil strip s of Figure 2 may be employed.

It will be appreciated that the drinks containers described above are merely exemplary of containers in accordance with the invention and that modifications can readily be made thereto without departing from the true scope of the invention.

Claims

1 A disposable container filled with a drinking fluid and including an insertable or integral mouthpiece formed with a series of drinking holes through which the container's contents can be consumed.

2 A container as claimed in claim 1 further comprising a detachable seal for initially sealing the drinking fluid in the container.

3. A disposable container substantially as herein described with reference to Figure I or Figure 2 or Figure 3 of the accompanying drawings.

A disposable container filled with a drinking fluid and including an integral mouth piece upstanding from the upper surface of the container, the mouth piece being formed with a series of drinking holes through which the container's content can be consumed2 A container as claimed in I further comprising a detachable seal for initially sealing the drinking fluid in the container.
