Abstract
The wrist band B and the ball D have a one foot piece of elasticated cord attached to each. The piece of cord is attached through the center of the wrist band and through the center of the ball. The middle piece of elasticated cord E can then be different lengths and when they are attached to the wrist band cord and the ball cord the equipment can then be thrown, kicked and caught at various lengths and angles. The invention being attached to the wrist makes it easier to catch. The Train Alone Sports Equipment can also be used with an undetachable length of elasticated cord attached from wrist band to ball. Wherein the elasticated cord attached to the wrist band and the ball is one whole piece (fig. 1) and not separated as in fig. 2. The strap connecting wristband and ball may be of variable length. <IMAGE>
Description
THE TRAlN ALONE SPORTS EQUIPMENT
This invention relates to a Train Alone Sports Equipment.
When training with any ball you nearly always have to have a second person to throw the ball for you, or if you throw thenball at a target and miss you have to fetch it yourself.
According to the present invention there is provided Train Alone Sports
Equipment comprising of a ball, either cricket, baseball, rugby or football. A strap which may be secured around a users linb and an elasticated cord of variable length connected between the strap and the ball.
For training alone this device is ideal.
Aspecific e@bodinent of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying diagrams in which:
Fig 1 & 3 Shows the Train Alone Sports Equipment.
Fig 2 & 4 Shows the Train Alone Sports Equipment separated.
Referin@ to the dia@ra@s t@e Train Alone Sports Equipment comprises of a
wrist band (fig 13) fastened with velcro#'a@'elasticated cord (fig @@) attached to the wrist band at one end and attached to the ball i.e. cricket baseball, ru@by or football at tlie. other.
The wrist band is fastened with velcro# for co@fort and ease in fastening.
The elasticated cord is then sewn onto the wrist band (fig 2@) with a sewn loop at the end of it's length (fi 2E).
The cric@et or baseball is drilled in the center and a plastic peg is put in so that the elasticated cord can be attached to the ball (fig2@) with a sewn loop on the end of the cord.
The middle piece of elasticated cord will have sewn loops at each end.
Then an s@all piece of elastic with studs on it is then inserted into the sewn loops on the wrist band elastic aid ball elastic to join them to the middle piece. Alternatively you could use small metal rings.
With the rugby and football the elasticated cord should be attached before the ball is inflated, by means of a plastic cup inside the ball (fig 5A). A hole is put in the center of the plastic cup and the elastic is threaded through and fixed. It is then threaded through the ball coming out on the outside of the ball and then looped at the end so that there is approxamatly one foot of elastic outside the ball.
The middle piece of elastic can then be attached just the same as the cricket and baseball.
