Abstract

An automatic security system including a one-shot counter 116 which is controlled to pick up the first triggering signal from intrusion detectors or impact detectors 101, 102, and then to drive a siren 111 and a visual alarm device 112 to give a transient short pre-warning chirp or flashing light. The antenna 119 of the vehicle is also raised and a speech synthesiser may also be turned on. This warns people not to approach the vehicle. A master control alarm circuit Fig. 2 not shown, is controlled to trigger an alarm system upon receipt of a predetermined number of triggering signals within a predetermined time duration. The alarm signal may also be transmitted to a remote receiver eg using a mobile telephone. <IMAGE>

Description

SPECIFICATION AUTOMOBILE SECURITY SYSTEM WITH A PRE-WARNING CONTROL The present invention relates to an automobile security system with a pre-warning control device which warns people not to approach before the alarm system is alerted.
A variety of security and alarm systems are manufactured, and widely used, to protect automobiles against burglars. These security and alarm systems are not satisfactory because they do not give a visual and/or audio alarm signal before an intrusion, i.e., the car has already been intruded or damaged when an alarm is given.
It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide an automobile security system with a pre-warning control device which warns people not to approach, by means of giving out visual and audio warning signals.
Another object of the present invention is to provide an automobile security system with a pre-warning control device which, upon an instruction automatically raises the car antenna,so as to warn intruders to keep away. Still another object of the present invention is to provide an automobile security system with a prewarning control device which automatically gives out radio, audio and visual alarm signals to inform the car owner or a police station when the alarm system has been triggered.
Fig. 1 illustrates the arrangement of the hardware of the automobile security system with a prewarning control device according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention; Fig. 2 is a circuit diagram of the automobile security system with pre-warning device shown in Fig. 1.
Referring to Fig. 1, touch-sensitive detector 101, which is mounted on the car door handle, or space detector 102, gives a signal to OR gate 103 as it is triggered. The triggered signal from OR gate 103 is stopped from passing to AND gate as ARNED/DISARMED device 105 is disarmed. As ARMED/DISARMED device 105 is activated for armed mode to give a high signal to AND gate 104, the triggered signal from OR gate 103 which is passed to the output of AND gate 104 becomes high, so as to provide a synchronizing signal 106 for counting of time duration and a triggering signal 107 to AND gate 108. Upon receipt of the signal from AND gate 108, signal processing IC 109 immediately gives a command to speech synthesizer 110, causing it to send out spoken words, give a command calling on the people to get away from the car, or to (a) siren 111 or (b) visual alarm device 112, causing (a) to sound or (b) to flash. Synchronizing signal 106 controls AND gate 108 to give a signal within a predetermined time duration.
And gate 104 has another output connected to counter 116, which counts the number of times the signal is triggered. Signals from counter 116 and synchronizing signal 106 are sent to AND gate 117 to count the number of times the signal is triggered within a predetermined time duration. When both meet, AND gate 117 gives a signal to driver circuit 118, causing it to turn on speech synthesizer 110, siren 111, visual alarm device 112, and to raise auto antenna 119.
Referring to Fig. 1, when the car doors switch 113 and the space detector 102 are triggered, the triggering signals go through AND IC 114, or the signal of the arm/disarm devics 105 goes through OR IC 115 and drive siren circuit 111 to send out an alarm signal.
Referring to Fig. 2, contact point "a" is an alarm detector input terminal. As the alarm detector is triggered, a triggering signal is given to master control alarm circuit 200 to sound an alarm. Contact point "b" is a vibration detector, impact detector or a glass break sound detector input terminal. Contact point "c" is a car door detector (switch) input terminal. Contact point "d" is an engine hood and trunk lid detector (switch) input terminal. Contact point "e" is the car's IGN switch input terminal.
Contact point "f" is a high frequency (RF) remote control arm/disarm input terminal. When contact point "b" is triggered, one shot counter 201 is activated to pick up the first triggered signal and prevent the other continuous triggered signals from passing through, and then to give a signal to master control alarm circuit 200, causing it to drive siren 204, flashing circuit 205, and paging system 212. When activated, siren circuit 204 emits a short beep sound, flashing circuit 205 gives a flashing light, and paging system 212 lifts up auto antenna 208, if the intruder disregards the beep sound and opens car doors or breaks window glass, the master control alarm circuit 200 will command siren circuit 204 to give a vocal alarm, flashing circuit 205 to cause a light to flash, and make paging system 212 raise auto antenna 208 to call the user's bi bi unit, mobile telephone or other alarm receivers. Meanwhile, door locking circuit 209 is activated to lock car doors so as to imprison the intruders. The alarming LED 211 is provided for warning people not to approach the car.
Contact point "c" is a car door detector (switch) input terminal. When the last car door is closed, an arming warning instruction is given to master control alarm circuit 200, causing it to drive siren circuit 204 to emit a short beep sound and to drive flashing circuit 205 to flash a light. Therefore, the car owner knows that the security system is armed. If the engine hood or the trunk lid is not closed, master control alarm circuit 200 doesn't drive siren circuit 204 and flashing circuit 205. Thus, the car owner receives no signal when the car doors are all closed, and understands that the security system is not armed. As soon as the engine bood and the trunk lid have been closed, master control alarm circuit 200 starts to arm. Contact point "e" controls the car door switch and contact point "f" controls the remoting signal for arming or disarming.
Paging system 212 is provided for outputting a driving alarm signal, the paging system 212 can control the auto antenna 208 so as to cause the auto antenna 208 to rise up or receive a signal from paging system 212 to prevent the burglar from damaging the car. Furher, when auto antenna is lifted up, it can trigger bi bi unit transmitter 213 or mobile telephone 214 dialing number automatically, to inform car owner so as to produce a pre-warning effect.
