Abstract

The holder comprises a tray (I), a leg (II) attached to the tray which is telescopic and has a wide degree of movement, which can be locked in position, and a foot clamp (III) affixed to the end of the leg which can be secured to a fixed position. <IMAGE>

Description

AN ADJUSTABLE. ADAPTABLE TOOL AND COMPONENTS HOLDER This invention relates to an adjustable and adaptable tool and components holder.
Engineers, Tradesmen and D.I.Y enthusiasts often carry out their activities in areas which usually lack sufficient space to lay down and hold tools and components etc. This often results in misplacement, untidyness and general inconvenience. This invention overcomes this problem simply and effectively.
A simply made (injection moulded plastic for example) tray has attached an adjustable leg. The leg will be attached by means of a 'ball type' joint which allows a degree of flexibility of movement, and will be secured in the required position by means of a 'wingnut'.
The leg will have a telescopic section which provides for an increase in length, thus extending the reach of the tray. The leg again has a similar 'ball type' joint mid span, again giving a degree of flexibility of movement and may be secured in the required position by means of a 'wingnut'.
The leg will have attached to its free end a clamp which will be adjustable and will allow the entire assembly to be secured to a fixed point, for example a flange, seam or bracket etc.
The invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawings: 1) An assembly drawing of the invention highlighting its essential technical features.
2) The invention shown in a typical situation for which it is intended to be used.
Referring to assembly drawing no.l the invention comprises: V A tray.
II) A leg attached to the tray being telescopic and having a wide degree of movement, with the ability to be locked in position.
III) A foot clamp affixed to the end of the leg.

Claims (6)

CLAIMS:
1) An adjustable, adaptable tool and components holder which holds items preventing misplacement and disarray, thus assisting work through maintaining order.
2) The 'invention' as claimed in Claim 1, comprising a tray with an adjustable leg which has attached a clamp foot.
3) The 'invention' as claimed in Claims 1 & 2 which has universal application and is not dedicated to a particular task.
4) The 'invention' as claimed in Claim 3, but may if need be, manufactured to suit a particular application.
5) The 'invention' as claimed in Claims 1, 2, 3 & 4 the dimensions, fixings, working parts etc. of which may be varied.
Amendments to the claims 1) An Adjustable and Adaptable Tool And components Holder (the 'Invention') which holds items preventing misplacement and dissaray, thus assisting work through maintaining order.
2) The 'Invention' as claimed in claim 1, which may be positioned as required through means of its construction.
3) The 'Invention' as claimed in claims 1 & 2, comprising a tray with an adjustable leg (or legs) which has attached a clamp foot (or feet).
4) The 'Invention' as claimed in claims 1,2 & 3, which has universal application and is not dedicated to a particular job.
5) The 'Invention' as claimed in claims 1,2,3 & 4, which may if need be, manufactured to suit a particular job.
6) The 'Invention' as claimed in claims 1,2,3,4 & 5, the dimensions, fixings, working parts etc. of which may be varied.
