Tobacco pipes. - In tobacco pipes of the kind in which the stem is provided with a tubular lining m, slotted to form a grid n and fitted at o into a mouthpiece d, the lining m, of nickel, silver, or other material, is reduced in diameter at o and, if desired, at n, and is formed with a shoulder p abutting against the mouthpiece spigot c. The lining may be formed in inner and outer tubular parts, as shown, secured together by soldering or otherwise. In a modified con.- struction the inner tube is extended into the bowl, the outer tube lying in the stem only. In another modification, the outer tube may be split for the whole or part of its length. Meerschaum or other absorbent material may be placed within the lining. Finger grips h are provided on the mouthpiece.
