Abstract

A sock clip has two mouths A and B, connected by a center post, that can be used to keep socks together during washing and as they dry on a line. The clip can be placed onto the sock pair by pressing the finger tabs to open mouth A. The pair of socks can be removed from the washing machine and air-dried by using mouth B to attach to a clothes drying line. The clip can remain on the sock pair as they remain with other clothes waiting for use. Once the pair is used, the sock clip is reattached prior to entering the place for soiled laundry. <IMAGE>

Description

SOCK CLIP This invention relates to a clip to keep sock pairs together during washing, as they hang to dry and in drawers prior to use.
During the washing and drying of socks, each sock is an individual item. After washing, socks are hung individually to dry and then resorted into their respective pairs. By keeping sock pairs together, reSortirls is eliiliriated. To keep sock pairs together after drying, one is usually folded over both. Instead of folding, the clip can be used to keep sock pairs together to limit their wear-and-tear.
According to the present invention, there is provided a plastic clip to keep sock pairs together when not in use. The clip is designed to allow socks to be washed and dried as pairs. To achieve this, the clip is two-headed with the ability to snap onto both the open end of the socks, securing them together, and onto the drying line.
A specitic embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: Figure 1 displays the clip.
Figure 2 displays the clip holding two socks together as a pair as they dry.
Figure 3 displays several pairs of socks drying on a line.
To put the clip onto the sock, mouth A (Figure 1) is opened and the socks inserted. This is sufficient to keep sock pairs together during washing and drying (Figure 2).
Once washed, mouth B is used to secure the socks onto the drying line. Mouth B of the clip is designed to snap directly onto a drying line of any size.
To remove the clip from the line, the finger tabs on the mouths (C and D, Figure 1) are pressed together and the clip is pulled downward.
To remove socks from the clip, the mouth is opened by pressing the finger tabs (E and F, Figure 1) together and socks pulled out.
