Abstract

The method comprises providing a layer of paint (16) in a mould (10, 12), providing a sheet of fibre reinforced thermoplastics material (17), heating the sheet, introducing the heated sheet into the mould and compressing the sheet in the mould to cause the material of the sheet to flow over a surface of the mould. The method enables a component (18) to be formed having a substrate formed by the material of the sheet (17) and a finish provided by the paint (16). <IMAGE>
