Abstract

A video processing system employs a microcomputer (11) which functions to effecting real-time on-screen functions on original video images for storage on an optical disc (28). The system employs an adaptive program which efficiently extracts visual image data from a digitizer (15) and compresses this data for the real-time processing to create dynamically the best available sub-set of pixels of the original image. <IMAGE>
