Abstract

227,305. Wienecke, P. R. Feb. 25, 1924. Mud-guards rotating with wheels comprise ring segments each of which is a rubber strip 3 riveted to an angular bent steel plate 1. Pressstuds connect the overlapped ends of the strips 3. To connect the plates 1 which are separated by a gap 4, their inner edges are bent to form tubes 5, each enclosing a wire 6 projecting at one end and retracted at the other end, of the tube. Turn-buttons 10 on the rim engage openings 11 in the plate 1.
