Abstract

227,071. Bannan, H. Sept. 24, 1924. Car-replacers and de-railers comprise an arcuate metallic member flared outwardly from the centretowards both ends and adapted to extend over both sides of the rail. The central portion 6 of the ramp rests on the tread of the rail and the side walls 5 of the slots engage both side edges of the tread of the rail, the slots being offset at their outer ends 8 to receive the base flange of the rail.
