Description

THE JUMPING LEARNING GAME This invention relates to a game.
There are many games that exist which use flash cards or books for educating children, but this invention is introducing a different method helping to eliminate tedium and maintain interest in learning.
According to the present invention there is provided a first set of mats, each bearing an identifying marking and a second set of mats each bearing markings different from, but corresponding to, those on the first set of mats.
The mats may be used by scattering the two sets on the floor and the player will then jump from a mat of the first set to the corresponding mat of the second set. If the player fails to recognise the correct mat then a forfeit must be made. In the case of the number recognition set, if the player fails to recognise the number 3 the player must jump up and down on the number 3 three times shouting that number.
In some embodiments a third or fourth set of mats with corresponding markings can also be introduced.
The identifying markings can be either letters, numerals, words or pictures on the mats, colours or shapes or a mixture.
The specific embodiments of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: Figure 1 shows a variety of shaped mats in bright plain colours and corresponding words to the shapes on the second set Figure 2 shows three sets of mats. One set of mats shows dots 1 - 10, the second set shows numerals 1 - 10. The third set of mats shows words one - ten.
Figure 3 shows a set of mats with lower case letters on and related pictures to correspond with the second set of mats featuring capital letters.
Figure 4 shows two sets of mats with pictures and words on each set that correspond to each other as pairs.
Further embodiments of the game can be introduced later for further education.
