Abstract

227,009. Retterath, V. Feb. 18, 1924. Linear - dimension gauges.-The anvils 2 of a limit gauge are fixed in adjusted position by plugs 4 of copper or other soft metal which are inserted in holes 3 in the frame 1 and squeezed up to engage flutes in the stems of the anvils and grooves 5 in the frame. When the anvils become worn, the plugs are driven out, the anvils readjusted, and new plugs inserted.
