Abstract

Round Ball Scanner is a useful measuring device designed to determine if a Golf Ball is perfectly round. It is intended to be used as a portable device for use in the field of Sport by Professional and Amateur Golfers and also adapted if required for other Bail Sports. It eliminates the necessity to determine by the sportsman to judge the Balls Roundness by observation or touch. <IMAGE>

Description

ROUND BALL SCANNER BACKGROUND There is a need in the Practical Field of Sport, Particularly Golf, for a Mechanical Aid to determine whether a Ball is Round.
"THE ROUND BALL SCANNER" was Invented for this purpose.
DESIGN The Design of the ROUND BALL SCANNER calls for PLASTIC, STEEL, EXOTIC Materials and TEXTILES as it's MAJOR COMPONENTS.
CONSTRUCTION The Shape of the Scanner can be of RECTANGULAR SHAPE, See DRG: Fig 1. or a Circular Form, and made from various Materials Approx One= Eighth Inch in Thickness.
The Scanner Hole would be One and Sixty=Eight Hundreths (1.68") Plus .002" Inches Tolerance in Diameter to line up with The GOLF BALL MANUFACTURERS TOLERANCES.
An Oval Shaped Ribbon Hole would be situated above the Ball Holder to allow the Round Ball Scanner to be tied to a TARTAN or Similar Fabric for Easy Carriage, other shapes can be carried in Velvet Bags.
GOLF TEE HOLES are located to the Right and Left of the Ribbon Hole to Hold Golf Tees if Desired.
A set of Ball Markers would be situated below the Golf Ball Holder The Bottom of The Scanner would be Decorated with the Name of a Golf Club, A Company's Name, The Users Name or a Logo.
FUNCTION To use the Round Ball Scanner one would pass the Golf Ball a number of times through the Scanner Hole to determine that the Ball was Round and Fit for Play, thereby Eliminating Guesswork.
The Function of the Round Ball Scanner can also be used or applied to other Ball Games in the Field, where Roundness is Essential.

    CLAIMS 1. A Portable Mechanical Device For Checking The Roundness of a Ball in the Field of Sport.
  2. 2. The Sizing Device as in Claim 1. is made to comply with the Ball Manufacturers Tolerance.
  3. 3. The surrounding Material for Claim 1. Can have a Variety of Shapes.
  4. 4. The Materials Enclosing The Measuring Device as for Claim 1. Can be Varied but Primarily PLASTIC OR STEEL.
  5. 5. The Device in Claim 1. is Particularly Applicable in the Field of Golf.
