Abstract
226,356. Gee, J. E., and Gee, F. S. Nov. 23, 1923. Signs, supporting.-Letters, numerals, &c. are detachably fixed to a support such as a window solely by suction cups attached to the letters &c. either integrally or by fastenings. The cups a are arranged entirely within the margins of the letter &c., and form feet so that the letter stands away from the background. The letters &c. may be of rubber which may be strengthened with a facing of metal &c., and may have integral cups or rubber cups with stems vulcanized into holes in the letters, the holes being preferably undercut or irregularly shaped. Cups may be attached to letters of hard material by passing them into holes in the letter, or by screwing or rivetting them in place. When the cups are on the front of the letter they are spaced equally apart and' may be coloured to match or contrast with the letter.
